I arrived late and my room was sold. Hence, I was upgraded for free to the suite. It was fantastic, perfect for a romantic holiday. It was a shame I was traveling alone. The hotel is in the centre but in a quiet street. Nice terrace restaurant.

This lovely hotel is in the centre of "The Old Town" of Riga with access to all the attractions without needing a taxi or rickshaw! The décor is "Country House Chic" with a lovely "Scandewegian" touch. The young staff were local and well educated and spoke good English with a lovely lilt. Some words got lost in the translation. The... More

Hard to say which was the best part of this hotel. The location was perfect, the breakfast scrumptious, the staff exceptional, the rooms amazing, wifi is very fast and reliable, one of the best and nicest hotels I have stayed in, wish we didn't have to leave

We threw our wedding reception at Hotel Gutenbergs and I can not say enough about how great the staff, the food, and the hotel was. From the second you walk in, Dace was there to greet us and helped us with any and all questions/concerns we had during our stay. Lasma was the best event planner I have ever encountered... More

The hotel is a 16th century, former printing press. Fascinating, interesting history and very well-located in the old town of Riga. The room was nice sized although fairly basic with few amenities. The weather has been unseasonably warm in the Baltics and the room was stuff and hot...no a/c, no fan. That was the downside of the place. Bathroom was VERY... More

The hotel is in the very center of the old town: simply fantastic location! Therefore, most sights can be enjoyed at a walking distance, lots of places to eat out. The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. The restaurant offers a lovely buffet breakfast (wide choice of meat, cheese and vegetables) with amazing coffee. The room was large, very comfortable,... This would be a great hotel, room decor is nice, restaurant is good, but the noise just ruined our stay. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is very closed to the square and is very very noisy. It was still cool so the hotel has not put the portable air-conditioner back in yet and you need to open the window... More

This hotel is well located in the old town. It is nice but the rooms are smaller than we would have liked and the bathroom is compact. There was no plug in the hand basin, no tea or coffee making facilities and no air conditioning. Breakfast was fine and there is a good restaurant on the roof that can be... More

This hotel is located in an old building and it's decorated to give very old feeling for their guests. Still the hotel itself is nicely renovated. The hotel honours Gutenbergs printing house, so there is some references to him and it. The hotel is situated in the old town, so the roads there are very narrow. That's why my taxi... More

This is an excellent location, with very friendly and helpful reception staff. The roof terrace restaurant gave us the best meal we had in Riga, and we had a wonderful view over the whole city. We were a group of twelve and the rooms varied in size, which might have been a problem. The twin -bedded ones were on the... More
