Maybe the best of a bad lot as far as hotels go, We were ripped off at the bar and told to 'get lost' when we asked the security guard a question. The place itself is not a friendly city, guys there are rude and no-one likes tourists, especially from the UK. we paid a tour guide on the first... more

A good location, five minute walk to most locations. Stayed in the main tower (20th floor) which has around 30 rooms per floor which makes it quiet as few others walking around the corridors. Room was compact, but all the required features - shower rather than bath. The hotel is covered by free Wi-Fi with good coverage in the room... more

It was a business trip, so some distance from Old Town wasn't an issue. In fact it's a pleasant 10-15 minutes stroll in a nice weather or there is a bus round the corner. The hotel is a normal modern upmarket business hotel IMHO. I don't have any special memories, but no complaints either. What caught my attention though: a... more

I stayed for one night at this hotel, as part of a conference. It s nice enough, but I found it a bit too 'big' for my taste. There were crowds everywhere in the lobby and on the conference floors. The hotelrooms (Reval class) were ok, but a bit "basic", box-like and impersonal. Nowhere to hang your towel in the... more

I've just come back from a week-long trip to Latvia and stayed 2 nights in this hotel, but came back a number of times during the week for dinner and to visit the Skyline bar. The rooms are basic accomoboxes: large twin beds, no trouser-press or tea-and-coffee making facilities. However they do have a number of different room types from... more

We liked most aspects of the hotel - excellent food especially the breakfasts. The bar on the 26th floor is amazing and drinks quite well-priced for a place of this kind. However we felt that the rooms were rather basic, and bathrooms not really adequate. No tub, soap in a wall dispenser. We booked a tour with the hotel desk and... more

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff and amazing design to the entire hotel, rooms included. Excellent buffet breakfast. Great location between the Old Town and New Town. Close to the only laundromatte in Riga (that we could find anyway!). One one slight problem when checking out - agent hadn't apparently paid the hotel for the accommodation, even though they had taken the... more

This hotel is fantastic the best thing about Riga, rooms very clean and modern, Sky bar is great to relax. Myself & daughter went over to visit her friend who is based over there , we were not looking forward to this trip, but felt duty bound. You never feel relaxed in this place, dont walk on the grass you... more

I stayed at this very large hotel for five nights in mid September and found it to be overall an excellent choice. I was travelling alone, but was given a double room anyway, which I think is normal practice in hotels of this class. The room was a standard one on one of the upper floors, so the view was... more

My friends and I have just returned from a long weekend in Riga, where we stayed at the Reval Latvija Hotel. We selected the hotel based on a combination of price, location, star rating, facilities and, of course, the reviews given by fellow travellers. We were not to be disappointed. Having paid £60 per room, per night, on a bed... more
