This hotel is right at the center with consequent problem of street noise. Many tour groups use it. Breakfast buffet is good, but can get crowded since it is served in a narrow hallway. Room was commodious, but had a tub instead of a stall shower.

Had booked this hotel online directly, some months beforehand, since we were travelling to Riga for a friends wedding. I asked for a quiet room as the hotel is located in the back streets of the old quarter and were staying for 9 nights. We arrived at 11pm and were quickly checked in by the pleasant receptionist, told that we... More

At the very low price we paid, we could not reasonably expect more. Not considering the bargain we got, the beds and the breakfast could certainly be improved. The location was excellent right in the middle of the Old Town.

Firstly the good points for this hotel which is very popular with tour companies for large groups of mature travellers - excellent geographic location in the centre of Riga - excellent and varied choice for breakfast (included in price) - decent facilities BUT - if you are unlucky to get a room on the alleyway side you will not get... The Hotel Konventa Seta in old town Riga is splendid. Checking into our room was handled efficiently, and our room is beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows on the bed are perfect. I appreciate dark curtains since it is dark for so few hours. breakfast is a treat.

We got a very good deal at some €65 for a suite (per night for the 4 of us). At that price, we got more than good value. However, leaving aside the price, there are a few things to mention: 1) Breakfast is really nothing to rave about. The "omelette" is some factory produce and the coffee was not good... More

A converted convent made into a hotel. The room we had was large with table and chairs and a desk and chair too. We were at the front of the hotel on a fairly quiet street. No air con though and that meant noise every night from the open windows as outside revellers walked past. Saturday was especially bad with... More

Resting in a huge suite courtesy of a three night stay and a load of Italian couples. Very comfortable with great beds. Why don't these Eastern European hotels allow you to make coffee and tea ( but they gave us a kettle this time)? Just off the main square and easy walks everywhere.

+ location is great, it´s in the old town. Everything is around what you need. + a small kitchen is in the room + big breakfast + tv with channels with different languages + room size is enough - no elevator - breakfast room is to small - on the first day the bathroom was not completely cleaned - in... Worth booking for its central position in the town: the pillow was the hardest I have ever experienced: rooms very like student hall of residence - bare and minimally clean. Breakfast can be a real scrum if you coincide with a tourist group...but of course it is cheap. Security is a huge problem and needs to be addressed if the... More
