I don't think one can talk about this hotel without mentioning its ideal location. It's on the edge of the old town facing the freedom monument and the park. Stayed in room 601 so away from any noise, hotel is very clean and in a great location, close to river so beware of mosquitos. Very good breakfast plenty of choice. pleasant and polite staff. more

The De Rome has a major draw: its gt location. On the edge of the old town and overlooking the park/ river it is a short stroll to everywhere. Slightly "Soviet style" harsh decor by western standards....but that's all part of the Riga experience. Rooms on the exec floor can have good park views but the downside is the tram... more

Great location, right on the edge of the old city. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly enough. We were initially put into a smoking room which stank but the staff were happy to put us into a non-smoking room. I thought the TV satellite choice was very poor and you had to pay for anything decent.... more
