The Gertrude had a brilliant breakfast buffet included in our room rate. It was 1 of the best breakfast buffets we've had in a while! There were hot and cold options for both good and drink. All of which was delicious! The room itself was a fairly good size, plus it had a good sized bathroom. The only downside was... More

Not the easiest place to find but a lovely place once you've made it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable although do get far too hot in the night. We were in a front facing room on the 4th floor - road noise is pretty high and the view is not good enough to make up for it. You get... More

location...slightly out of town but still only 15 minute walk. or a taxi for 4euro...always get a Green Baltic taxi... there are some white hotel linked taxis outside the hotel that are ok. but DON'T flag any random taxi down at night and think it will be the same...probably more like 20euro!.... anyway I digress :D .... that's the negatives... Situated in the city centre but away from the old town.Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and only a ten minute walk to the old town.Rooms were spacious and clean.Reception staff were friendly and helpful.A decent breakfast was provided.Overall the hotel was very good at a great price.

The hotel is situated 20 minutes from the airport Getting there by taxi: the set price is around €15.00 (from the hotel to the airport) Getting there by bus: If you take bus no 22 from the airport (you can buy a ticket in the kiosk located to the right when you exit the airport, or in the bus). Don't... More

We've just stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was very good and kept spotlessly clean.Beautiful bathroom with a deep bath to soak away the aches and pains from all the walking. We had a 4th floor room at the back and it was lovely and quiet. Buffet breakfast... More

We stayed here from Friday the 5th December until Sunday 7th December. We arrived early and the reception staff were really helpful and checked us in early. We had originally booked a family room but we were given 2 rooms which was great!! The rooms were good and clean. The breakfast room was small but perfectly fine. The breakfast was... More

Away from your normal walking/driving paths, this hotel offers quiet, large rooms. Breakfest is different (better) than some other Wellton hotels, but the biggest minus is its location and no parking. Parking awailable on the street but often you can find a spot to park only 10min away from the hotel.

The hotel is not very centrally located - 20 minute walk to the old town. If you arrive by plane take the No 22 bus from outside the airport to the last stop. It is then a 20 minute walk. The room and bathroom were very large but dated. We had a window in the room but you needed to... More

The hotel is in a very good location - close enough to the Old Town (about 15-20 min leisurely walk), but also in a quiet and safe road. Public transport to the Old Town is nearby, but really there is no need to use it, as it is so easy and nice to walk everywhere. Central Riga is quite compact... More
