We stayed here as an alternative to staying in a hostel over the weekend as we wanted to avoid the numerous stag do's in the city and get a good nights sleep. From a value point of view it is good, the hotel has all you need in the room. The plastic under sheet was a bit off putting as... More

Bad "hotel" location. The noise from the street by passing cars (hotel is near of one of busy street). The room has the stench of cigarette smoke. The bed designed special for Yogis... The mattress was hard like the Soviet Union train bunk. In the future I would not stay there again.

Spent two nights there...staff really nice. It's a 20 min walk to the farmers market, which is large and much more than produce, then another ten minutes walk to Old Town. TV have three channels and only BBC is in English...accommodations fine...shower good, linens ok. For the price it's a real deal...and they were not that full which is surprising... More

Riverside Hotel is on the wrong side of the tracks, but the walk from the bus or train station starts through the interesting Central Market. You can take a trolleybus for one stop, but we didn't bother as it's easy enough on foot. The hotel is quite a decent place. The room was clean and comfortable. No tea-and-coffee-making facilities or... More

We stayed at Riverside Hotel in Riga with our friends at the end of May. The rooms were clean, simple, quiet and the hotel had really friendly staff. The breakfast was quite good. Surrounding was ugly, but we traveled by car so the car park below windows was OK. To the old town was a 15 minute walk. Taxi to... More

After many hours driving in circles to find a cheap way to accommodate in Riga we passed by Riverside and stayed for 3 nights. all the facilities were almost new, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, etc. if you travel by car is good to stay here.

Make sure you have a map where this hotel is located since our taxi driver could not find the street on his GPS. However, once you orient yourself with your surroundings you will find out the hotel is located close to public transportation to get you to the Old Town and to a bus or a train station in just... Not only the river is missing, all the neighborhood is rather shabby, empty and meaningless. As others have mentioned, you can reach the center by walking in 20 min. but imagine doing it at least twice a day. As you step in into the lobby the first thing you notice is a terrible smell of an old library. The room... More

For the price paid, I would have liked to have given this hotel 5 out of 5. The room was spacious, comfortable, bathroom, shower, all good. Wi-fi always worked fine in the room, which was cleaned very well every day. My reason for not giving 5 is the location. Whilst it's all very well to say it's only about a... More

Booked this hotel through an on-line deal. The whole experience was very positive. The room although small was clean and tidy, the bathroom modern and good toiletries. The towels were changed everyday, and there was a hairdryer that worked! The hotel staff were very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a short distance away from the airport and...
