Stayed here for 5 nights in what, for Riga, counts as warm weather (sunny and into the 20's every day); the room was on the second floor at the front so was prone to possible overheating but keeping the curtains drawn during the day, when we were out, opening the windows morning and evening and asking for a fan, which... Stayed here for six nights during the World Choir Games, a group reservation made by a travel agency. Having read reviews here on Trip Advisor I was cautiously optimistic and am pleased to report a very good experience. Our room was on the 5th floor and faced the train station/shopping center. The weather was warm for Riga, upper 70's, so... More

My wife and I were travelling with our 20 year old son and so needed a room for 3 adults. This proved to be quite difficult in Riga, but the the Opera Hotel and Spa told us by e-mail that they had a suite into which a single bed could be added. This proved to be a nearly perfect suite... More

Before I wrote this review I looked at previous reviews that had been written with glowing results and I would agree with what was said except if you come here in summer and it is hot. All rooms except for the 5th floor DO NOT have Air conditioning. The room we had was excellent except it was so hot we... More

This hotel fit every one of our wishes and needs for our stay in Riga. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Our room, with two windows, was light and airy. Everything was extremely clean. The breakfast was abundant--other than a "fried bread" snack midday, we didn't feel hungry again until dinner in the evening. Would definitely stay at this... More

In fact, Opera has too many flaws to get a positive recommendation but gave anyway several highlights that somehow made our 2 nights stay quite nice. Overall impression is that everything is new and well cleaned. The staff is serviceminded and friendly, especially in the reception and in the Spa. However, then the flaws comes to mind: - An impolite... More

The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport by taxi, there is a bus which I am told charges only 1.80 Euros which seems to be the standard for paying the driver anywhere in Riga. The bus station is only one department store block to the west of the main station (Centrala Stacjas ). You must use the subways to... More

Make sure you get the romantic suite, and specify it in the bookings. Its a great room with a massive tub and very comfortable bed, heating/air-conditioning. Had an amazing time, staff are very friendly. The location is perfect, close to the town, and there are so many amazing places (Apsara tea house) very close by where you can go to... More

Located in central Riga. Close to the old city and sights. Rooms are modern and most facilities besides fitness. The rooms are spacious, the only thing I missed was a coffee machine. The breakfast is standard and is served in the hotel restaurant. Spa section is great, with all possible treatments, but is overpriced.
