Yeah the windows don't open the whole way, and the wi-fi is sketchy...but this hotel is in an ideal location, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms (including bathrooms) are very large. No safe is a bit of an issue, and the TV was boxy, but the fridge was good, and the desk was large. For those wanting to... More

The hotel is centrally located in the center of the city outside the medieval valls. Approx. 400 m. from the old town. Rooms are ok for a coupple of days stay. Wifi and TV in the rooms with mostly Estonian and Russian channels. Cleaning ok. Breakfast adequate but nothing fancy. Good budget hotel.

The hotel is well situated, close to the Old Town. The rooms are dull and outdated, the beds uncomfortable and the absence of air conditioning quite a hassle during the hot summer days. The televisions are small, large boxes with bad image quality (remember the 1990s?).

There was no airconditioning like hotel reservation site stated. Only a small table fan. Windows could not be opened. Room was hottest I've ever stayed in and believe me I've stayed in many hotels, also in hot countries. Also only small old box television. Receptionist girl pretty rude on the check in and usually staring at the computer every time... More

Very modest and simple but clean. Breakfast is nothing special but compared to price it's ok. Good location near the harbour and old town. Only major downside is that there's no air-condition. Lack of air-con made it hard to sleep during hot summer nights.

Good location, but nothing special. Dirty corridor carpet At breakfast time, if we do not need to wait to sit down. The breakfast is boring, every day is the same. A staff could smile more often. Parking is quite difficult, as there is a sufficient number of parking spaces marked.

Average hotel close to the harbor and old town. Basic rooms which were clean and silent. Breakfast and beauty salon was ok. If you don´t expect that much of your staying in a hotel, you´ll get good value for money :)

A bit dark hotel - SSSR-like overall. Colours of bathroom were like those of seventees. The breakfast was a modest one and consisted what you would think is the very essential. Still the room was clean and quiet and view from the 6th floor over the old Tallinn was great. The location between old town and the harbour was handy... More

Myself and a friend stayed here for 4 nights for a city break. When we arrived in our room, we noticed there was a very strong smell of urine in the bathroom. We went and told reception who were embarrassed, apologetic and moved us immediately. The new room was fine although the bathrooms are very basic and a little shabby.... More

If you are traveling by ferry, Metropol Hotel is conveniently located near the harbour. The surroundings are not that attractive, but you are not far from Viru Square and the Old Town. If you are on a budget, you get an ok value for your money – rooms are clean and in a pretty good condition. But if you are... More
