The Courtyard Suite has a real fire and your own sauna. The bed is very comfortable. Some people have whinged about having the walk across the courtyard (10 paces) to the Courtyard Suite. In contrast I think this added to exclusivity of the suite. Could not be more central. helpful staff. I do have to concur with those criticising breakfast.... More

The Merchant House is right in the centre of Talinn and is ideally suited for old town exploration. The rooms are good with many nice touches and the beds are comfortable. The breakfasts let the hotel down. The food is cheap and many corners are cut. The coffee is dreadful, the bread stale and cooked breakfast absolutely inedible. This is... More

Merchant's house hotel locates just round the corner of the main city square. I have stayed few times in this hotel and every time the front desk service has been very friendly. This time we were accommodating mini suite on the street side of the hotel and it was unfortunately somewhat noisy.

I've been in this hotel several times, and will return again. Our room was absolutely beautiful (it felt like we would have been upgraded as I booked an ordinary room but the one we got was nothing but ordinary). There was some things I wasn't totally happy about, and they are: - noise. The rooms on the street side are... More

The Merchants House is a very ordinary hotel that is only saved by its central location and historic architecture. The rooms are adequate although some of the public areas appear worn and tired. The staff are attentive and friendly....All in all I was disappointed by the Merchants House and would not be in a hurry to go there again.

Beautiful hotel, welcoming staff and fantastic location for the old town of Tallinn. Nice room with good facilities, great breakfast and a well stocked bar with fire place to snug into! Would highly recommend staying in the Merchants House hotel if visiting Tallinn.

This hotel lived up to our expectations and way beyond. Quaint & quirky, full of nooks and crannies with so much history. Our rooms overlooked the courtyard and were perfect, very comfortable, clean, warm and quiet with lovely decoration and modern shower-room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with so much choice of fresh food - delicious.... More

We had already spent one night in a very disappointing hotel so much so we had to look for another one as we didn't want our 2 night stay completely ruined. We came across this one that had good reviews, the photos looked amazing as were the majority of reviews. We were both so looking forward to staying, you have... More

Loved the location of this little gem, just behind the town square. Great rates including breakfast make this one a winner in my book. Loved the breakfast room, vaulted ceilings, kinda dark, but plentiful breakfast. Nice sized rooms. My only complaint: Could have used a blind on the door as it was all window, and my room shared a wall... More

I and my wife visited Merchant's Hotel. We were delighted how the staff served us. Furthermore, the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in any Estonian hotel. Our room was small, but cozy. I would suggest that whenever you book a room at this hotel, be sure that it is not faced straight at the Dunkri... More
