This hostel is situated literally across the street from the Oldtown of Tallinn. While the comfort seekers might be somewhat disappointed, those looking for a convenient place to stay surely win - hostel is inexpensive, it has a shared kitchen and a sauna (which is fee-free for hostel quests 9-11am every day), free wi-fi (of course!)and the staff is very... If you are looking for a place really close to Old Town, Fat Margaret is the place to stay. We stayed here for 3 nights. Initially we got a room on the second floor but then we shifted to the ground floor. I suggest taking a ground floor room with attached bathroom. Hostel has a big kitchen, we had some... More

I've been in Tallin on last week end (24th to 25th of January) I've slept at Fat's Margaret Hostel, it's a really good place, the prices are cheap, 16 euros for a single room, 32 euros for a double room and 11 euros for the dorm room, it's more expensive when it's the week end, I've paid 20 euros for... Started in this hostel for a trip from Estonia through Latvia and ending in Lithuania, fat Margaret's is in an excellent location right by the old town, which is awesome the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were polite, especially the girl with black hair who went out of her way to help us with tram times and... Comparing to other hostels and even four star hotels in Tallinn, Fat Margaret has best atmosphere for my taste, and would recommend it to the alternative ones, who like old houses and creaky floors and are not afraid of little crabbiness. The rooms are cheap, and prices negotiable. We stayed in a private family room with double bed and shared... More

Dont be put off by the industrial outside appearance, this is a cosy and central hostel with wonderful extras like a free sauna and pool and a superb kitchen and common area. The rooms are basic but clean and quiet, and the location just across the road from Old Town is very convenient. It is also handy if you come... More

Despite that the hostel looks dangerous and a bit scary from outside, it looked nice from inside. As I visitet Tallinn just to get some party spots so I was happy to fall in any kind of bed at the early morning. The room was simple, clean and warm. Shower and toilet were also clean, equipped with the basic things... More

Not a bad choice, but personally wouldnt stay there again. Unfortunately, first impression was quite bad. We checked in early on October 1st and the girl working was horribly rude, slamming stuff around while huffing and puffing. I finally asked her what was wrong and she snapped "it is too early, only 7am"..she was quite angry we showed up so... More

Great place to stay at, very close to the Tallin Ferry. The room was comfortable, clean and surprisingly quiet. The staff was nice and friendly, very helpful. The bathrooms are clean and there is a huge dining room in the basement with fridges and all cooking amenities. This place is a rarity these days, highly recommend for anyone travelling on... More

Nice hostel near city of Tallin. The lot of museums and Tallin city center is near. Easy access to Tallin ferry terminal A, B, D with connections to Stocholm, Helsinki, St.Peterburg, etc. The port for ferries to Aegna, Nissar and other pretty Estonian island is near too. Kitchen with possibility to prepare your own food is lacated in the basement.... More
