We had booked the Baltic Hotel which is a nice querky old town hotel but when we arrived we were told that the AC was down and that they had instead given us a free upgrade to a junior suite across town at their sister hotel the Vana Viru. Initial impressions were a little disappointed as this is quite different,... More

We had an reservation to another hotel (the same chain of hotels), but they had overbooked and send us to this hotel. There was a remodeling going on and it happened till midnight. There was no AC, just "Central AC" and the room was really hot. The bar street noise kept us awake till four in the mourning. After that... More

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Vana Wiru. The location is excellent and the hotel very clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The restaurant was closed for renovation but breakfast was taken in the Vana Wiru pub which could be crowded at times. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning as stated... More

Great location, nice place to stay for a night or two. No aircondition so rooms are quite warm, a little too much indeed. Ask for the room with citywiew, The bar is overpriced, just a few minutes walk you can find better and cheaper restaurants.

The location is ideal, and driving to the hotel with own car was a small adventure itself. Room (320) was small, but tidy and the view was ideal, if you like brick walls. On another hand, the room was quiet, except in the morning when the garbage was collected. A standard breakfast, pickled mushrooms were a plus. Personal in reception... More

A very nice hotel right in the heart of old town. Staff are very well trained, polite and care for all your needs. The hotel is very tidy and clean through out. The bonus is the pub on street level attached to hotel. Great food and nice place to sit and entertain or be entertained for an evening. A little... More

Overall this is a good hotel. It is located perfect if you want to explore the Old Town of Tallin. It is close to everything within Tallin. The rooms are not especialy big , but fair. The hotel seems to be a little bit more worn than last time we visited the hotel. This time we got a room with... More
