Stayed here for one night for business proposes. The outside of the hotel is ugly: grey communist exterior. But the inside is Ok. Rooms were nice, but warm. I don't think they have airco. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel has a good location: just cross the road and you are in the medieval city. I really liked the city! I... more

Not much to say about it. Location is good, on the edge of the old town, exteriour is like a communistic building. Inside it could be like any hotel of that era. Rooms are Scandic-design. Ask for a room on the fifth or sixth floor for a view (old town) but be aware of streetnoise in all the rooms on... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in June. Arriving late we unpacked before realizing that our twin was actually a double not 2 beds pushed together. I had confirmed at reception that our booked twin did have 2 beds. Returning the receptionist did seem genuinely surprised and gave me a key for another room which was not as modern or large... more

I too was filled with foreboding on seeing the grey Communist exterior. However, the interior has been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms are very comfortable, although very warm and, because of the traffic noise, it was not possible to leave a window open. The standard of the breakfast selection was excellent (numerous breads, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt... more

I stayed at the Scandic palace with two friends for five days in April. We booked a three person room for €119 per night. The room was two beds and a bed sofa all of which were pretty small (90 cm) and not very comfortable. The furniture and room looked worn down but it was clean. The breakfast buffe was... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend and with our friends for 1 night. The location is quite central and the hotel is a good 3 star hotel. The breakfast buffet is great, there are lots of food where to choose from. Our friends complained (they stayed in a different floor) that some other guests were making noice in the corridor... more

I stay at this hotel every couple of months since I bought a flat in Parnu on the coast and my flights get in late at night. When you first see the exterior with its grey dull facade, in the dark and in the rain you might despair - but.................... I have always found the staff to be helpful and... more

Rooms were adequate, staff were helpful and we found an excellent selection for the buffet breakfast. Just a few minutes walk from the market square and easy reach of many eating places. However, those of us facing the courtyard were kept awake by a very loud air conditioning unit on the roof & with no sleep at all the first... more

The Skandic Palace was a last minute replacement by our tour agent Baltic Travel. The supposed 4 stars are really about 2 stars. We arrived late but on schedule but they had let out all the rooms, we ended up two lads travelling together in a tiny single room in which they put a camp bed, no wonder we were... more

Nice hotel about ten minutes walk from the old town. Only 86 rooms so feeling was more of boutique hotel. If you are looking for luxurious then this is not the place. However location, value, facilities were very good. Rooms were functional and clean and Staff were friendly and helpful with all requests. Breakfast buffet was good and hotel sauna facilities were... more
