Spent 3 nights here. Host, Evgeni, kindly picked us up from the airport. Unfortunately communication was a bit difficult - but we managed and Evgeni was so friendly and 'house proud'. He was in the process of building a lovely outside covered deck. A rustic, comfortable house. Basic facilities in the room. Cooking facilities in room was very handy, although... More

I just spent one night in this dump and if it doesnt go on fire shortly it will be a miracle. Its not close to the center its dirty old and not comfortable. For 54 euros no breakfast what a rip off. The kid who cleans the place should go to school and get an education in hotel managment and... More

Pros; It is a lovely house and nice room. We could make some breakfast and there was a shared refrigerator in the hall. There was a really fine garden, but the weather was not good enough to use it. It is easy and fast to go to the city centrum. The host was a nice man. Cons; The room smelled... More

My husband and I caught the ferry over to Tallinn from Helsinki and spend 2 nights at this guest house while we explored the city. We loved our stay here. Marta Guesthouse is 'rustic' but well cared for and beautifully decorated. For an old house we found that it was never cold inside (the owners put heaters on and the... More

The beautiful Marta Guesthouse turned out to be the perfect location for our short stay in Tallinn in December 2013. It has a great authentic, rustic feel to it, but was also cosy, warm and clean, including the shared bathroom. Evgeni and Mai-Liis were excellent hosts, always helpful and considerate, happy to pick us up from the airport late at... More

We chose the place for its atmosphere (wooden, rustic), price and location. Evgeni collected us from the airport and was very helpful. It was nice to be slightly away from the Old Town, to see a residential part of Tallinn and to be near the Magdaleena Cafe with its 2.5 Euro breakfasts. The tram is cheap and it only takes... More

Marta guesthouse is something really special. It is a restored traditional wooden town house situated south of the city centre but old town is easily accessible via tram or bus. I stayed in one of the attic rooms, there was a shared toilet and shower room which were clean and tidy. The whole house is beautifully decorated in a shabby... More

I spent 4 nights here in July 2013. We had a private double room. We had our own bathroom and little kitchenette corner where you can find coffee, tea, a kettle, cutlery, a hot plate, etc. The hostel is not in old town but it is very easy to get to by tram, by bike or by foot. Yevgeny and... More

We spent 4 nights here this month. The guesthouse is a little outside the old town but we walked to the centre in about 20 (brisk) minutes one evening. Otherwise there's a tram which goes directly to town in about 10 minutes (about 2 mins from the guesthouse). Yevgeny and Mai-Liis both very helpful and forthcoming with information. Took advantage... If you are bored with standard issue accommodation consider here! The house is wooden (see pictures on website to get a better idea) and gave our short break a greater sense of occasion. It was lovely coming back each evening to candles and the stove in the shared parts downstairs. We also had a stove in our room and the... More

Thank you dear guests!! In some of the rooms we have preserved the old stoves as additional heating-system! They share the feeling of being in the countryside, where your grandmother has made pancakes early in the morning on a stove: you could see and hear the fire cracking.. The atmosphere and warmth is so much more different, when you can... More
