City Hotel is very basic and pretty rubbish, but redeems itself on the brekky front. When you wake up feeling peckish simply leave the hotel, cross the road to the nice swanky hotel opposite, and wander in unchallenged to enjoy the delights of the all you can eat buffet breakfast. Why we are called the Brentford Buffet Crew.

Upon check-in, we were informed that would would only receive one free cleaning in our a day stay. Changing tells would cost €10 per each towel. I believe that the hotel and consolidators and reviewers should stop hiding fees and be honest in advertising their hotels. By the way the towels were terrible. The receptionist was friendly and less you... More

The hotel's location is not the most convenient - specially if compared to the wide choice of hotels located closer to the Old Tallinn. The hotel is on the main street but you need to walk blocks away to get to the Old Town. The standard rooms are very small even for typical standard rooms - like 10 square metres... More

We stayed in Tallinn for a week this February for the Simple Session BMX/skateboarding competition (and also to explore a city we'd never been to before) and this hotel was ideal for our needs. We wanted somewhere that was close to the town (especially the old town), near to bus and tram routes, wouldn't cost the earth and was comfortable... More

If you're backpacking around and need a bed - and not much else, this is fine. No A/C was huge in our July heat. Bolted window shut, so absolutely no air flow. Hated coming back to our room when all we would do is wash up and sweat. Connected to a much nicer facilitie/hotel, but felt a bit like second... More

I seemed to be the only adult guest in this hotel. All neighbouring rooms were filled with Russian children who visited each other, knocked at theirs doors, clapped their doors and talked in front of my room all night. Since the reception is in another house 150 m away, nobody could help. I did not sleep a minute. The noisy... More

City Hotel claims to be part of a new style of "unique hotels"... the only thing unique is that it's not a hotel. In fact, it's barely a dorm facility. City Hotel's owner figured they could call this place a hotel because they own a real hotel 1/4 mile down the street. When the taxi drops you off at this... More

In general the hotel is ok. Location is perfect. near old town. We paid 50 EUR per night for triple room, which is good value for money. the room was ok, but too small for 3 people. The reception is locatad 2 min walk at another hotel von Stackelberg, which is a very nice 4 star hotel. Katya at the... More

Location is good - very close to the old town. Budget hotel, but I had all what I needed - big, clean room with basic furniture, own bathroom. Good price for what is offered, and you don't pay for services what are not needed - room cleaning and towels changing every day. What I did not like - TV remote... More
