I booked a female dorm with 6 beds. The room was spacious, clean and each girl had her own luggage to store things. The bathroom was very close to the dorm and always super clean. The bad aspect is about the noise. During the night there is a bar and during the afternoon a group of children leaning how to... More

The place is super clean and perfectly located (5min from the historical center's main attractions). It has bicycles that are available to the clients, a fairly good wi-fi connection in the 2 main halls and an excellent common space/kitchen/terrasse. Best budget place in town.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Jamaika Hostel for two nights in July. The building is located in the centre of Vilnius so everything was within walking distance. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our room was quite spacious and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed being able to hang around in the common room and having free toasts and... More

Very nice place to stay! In the center of the city, quiet street, close to the main attractions. Rooms are spacious and look really great, beds are very comfy, linen is new and clean! But sometimes we had no hot water, but as i stayed only for a day, it was ok!

We arrived there as our 2nd hostel with my girlfriend during our vacation in Vilnius. Well, the hostel is located in a good and peaceful street, they had a bar downstairs but there was no party or smth during our stayal. We stayed in a double bed private room which was visely and minimalisticly designed. They have a free computer... More

I greatly enjoyed staying in Jamaika hostel. All staff is very friendly and people staying there were nice. It has all you need washing machine, dryer, balcony, free coffee and tea, nice lounge. Thank you. I will come back. I stayed in other Vilnius hostels but this is the best.

The hostel is pretty much ok. The bedroom and kitchen facilities are really good though staff does not give you all the tips and hints you usually expect from hostels. You have to be asking every little thing. Locations is excellent and the hostel is well cleaned.

Good location (near the bus/train station, next to the local market and 5 min. walk to the city centre), friendly staff (really helpful, fluent in English language and smiley!! thank you), very clean, towels and bed linen provided! We even had some breakfast that we did not expect (was not included in the price but they offered some bread and... More

The hostel location is awesome, just at the southern limit of the beautiful old city centre. Really safe area. The rooms are really big. Clean towels are put everyday in the showers. The furniture in the rooms are equipped with keys, so you can lock your stuff (not 100% safe though, regarding the quality of the material). Really nice staff.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
After an eight-hour flight, I finally set my foot on the ground of Vilnius International Airport. The sun is sinking lower in the sky by dyeing it with a million of reddish shades. The hot air balloons are floating across the boundless horizon. After a few moments, I find myself sitting in a two-storey train. I am slowly heading straight towards the old town. A bunch of various niggling thoughts are swirling around in my mind: When? Where? With whom? At the train station the staring eyes of the Iron Wolf sculpture are spying me until my silhouette fades in the distance… After less than a five-minute saunter, I notice a tricolour flag with the same Iron Wolf image on a background of green, yellow and red. Yes, I have finally reached the destination point. JAMAIKA. At the reception desk I was welcomed with a warm smile and a proposal to enjoy my staying at the most heavenly place all over the globe. I take off the backpack and cry out “VILNIUS, I AM HERE!” A freshening shower melts away my travel weariness. I am sitting here on the hostel balcony with a bottle of cold beer, pondering over the tomorrow’s day and the bicycles at the reception. The centre of Vilnius. On the right hand side there sleeps a marketplace patiently waiting for the traders to come. On the left terrace of the Mexican restaurant “Sofa de Pancho” people are enjoying their supper. The glasses are chinking. The sun has almost entirely hidden its rays by decorating church roofs with purple dabs. A stream of surfers is flowing to the Jamaica bar, located on the first floor of the hostel, and I start swaying to the rhythm of reggae… Jamaika, I love you! ... more   less
