Reval hotel Lietuva is a big building located in the modern part of the city in front of the shopping center Europa. There are also two casinos in the area (one below the hotel and another one very close). It takes about 20 minutes walking to reach the Cathedral place and the old town. Stayed here for a week in July 2007. Had a fantastic time. Yes, it is about a 20 minute walk to the old town, but it's a pretty walk along the river or you could walk down the main shopping avenue, Gedimino Prospektos. It's Soviet grand-scale architecture, in another words not very beautiful, large, intimidating, etc., and the view includes a liethuanian strip club made of concrete, looking like a nuclear war bunker ... but that's about the bad sides ...
