We stayed in Shakespeare hotel in July, it was the best experience ever. The staff was extremely helpful, quality of a la carte breakfasts was superb. The price we paid was very modest considering we'd stayed during the busiest season. Hotel is located in the heart of Old Town, but on a very quite, private street. I've already recommended this... Unique boutique hotel in the centre of the old city. Strong character and themed hotel featuring theatrical and literary works. Highly personalized service and beautifully furnished like an English mansion. There are numerous antiquarian books throughout the hotel and prints and copies of old masters on the walls. One could spend all day just 'discovering' the contents of this small... More

Service was very good from the moment we arrived until we left the hotel. The receptionists and the bartender were especially great, very informative and friendly. The common areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated in old British colonial style, and all the rooms have names instead of numbers. The a la carte breakfast was one of the highlights, where... I spent 3nights at Shakespeare hotel: very central location, nice building, comfortable and romantic rooms, breakfast à la carte view good choice of food. The staff is absolutely kind and helpful. I recomend it

We spent four nights at this delightful hotel. Our room was on the top floor, corner, high ceilings , plenty of room, desk, large closet, separate seating area with small table, comfortable bed, good size bathroom . The interior design was enchanting, everywhere from the breakfast room , bedrooms, bathrooms, bar & study to the lobby waiting room & even... More

Just loved this place. The rooms are named after writers rather than just having numbers, there are books everywhere and it is wonderfully cosy and comfortable. Great location and lovely staff as well.

I decided to stay at Shakespeare Hotel for two reasons: we had rented a car, and a hotel with free parking was a definitely plus; and, this place was so highly rated that it seemed a sure bet. Check, and check again: this place is a winner in every possible respect. If I could give it six stars for "Extraordinary,"... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights as a single traveller. I found the rate to be fair and the hotel interesting. It is brilliantly located. Breakfast is ordered, which suited me, as I am not a true fan of breakfast buffets. I found the breakfast menu to be comprehensive and well-executed and each morning my plate arrived looking... More

The hotel is really literally themed, I was staying in Hewingway room and there are a lot of "authentic" things there, such as photos, old furniture, books, a jug, different boxes and even a gun on the wall. Breakfasts were tasty and the dining room is really nice and beautiful, with a lot of books. The location is great, near... More

The hotel is lovely and in a central, yet quiet location. The breakfast is somewhat pretentious, to order, which does not function really well - staff seem to be overwhelmed despite having more persons hovering around than in the Western Europe (i believe 4 for some 10 guests). The bottleneck seems to be the kitchen. Another point - the receptionist... More
