I stayed at the Astorija for one night during my first business trip to Vilnius. I would not hesitate to do so again. The location is excellent, on a square right in the old town which appears to be the area where you want to stay in Vilnius. The old town looks very nice and there are plenty of shops,... more

An attractive turn of the century buidling with an excellent location and from the rooms at the front, a view across to the baroque jewel of St. Casimir's Church (not quite so pre-possessing as an interior given ravages of Napoleon and the Soviets). Booked a "Business Class" room based on reviews of the relative size of the standard rooms. Room... more

The hotel is certainly not a deluxe 5 star property. The hotel is 3 star at best. Room was very small with an old bedspread which should have been thrown away. The bed decoration draped on the bed looked like it was ready for the garbage bin. The bed was very uncomfortable, and they provided a skimpy blanket that was... more

Just came back from a long weekend at this hotel. Must say I found the rooms very well decorated, the bathroom was divine. Fab shower and really nice decor. We did stay in the new part of the hotel. The bar was great looking over the town hall square and the restaurant was newly refurbished. The breakfast was fab. All... more

I had not been here for a few years and the rooms this time round looked very tired... when the Kempinski opens I think they will lose a fair bit of business, altho they do seem to have a lot of tour groups staying in here... staff are efficient but not overly friendly. The plus is the location on the... more

I don't think anyone goes to Vilnius for weeks. But for few days it's perfect. The rooms are quite small, but it compensates with the location. It is in the very heart of the old town. The famous icon is right next to it. In my room there were tea/coffee making facilities, nice toilettries, heated floor in the bathroom (which... more

We organised our two week tour of the Baltics in just three days and left on the following Monday. On the very first leg of our trip, we stayed at the Astorija in Vilnius. The hotel is in fact 5* and not 3* as is shown by Trip Advisor at the moment. First a word about the location. The hotel... more

We went to each of the Baltic states (and Finland) this summer and stayed for 2 nights at the Astorijia. Great Hotel! We booked a business class room through their website, but when we got there, they upgraded us to a suite. The room was spacious, lots of light, great view of the town of Vilnius. Movie channels are free... more

I stayed at the SAS Astorija as part of a tour group. Based on the mediocre Trip Advisor rating, I wouldn't have picked it for myself--but the hotel turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The common areas were very pleasant, and the restaurant was excellent. I didn't have... more

We were a party of 18, visiting vilnius for a stag. We were made most welcome by the all the hotel staff. The hotel is in an excellent central postion, within walking distance of the night hot spots. The business class rooms are def. worth the extra money, with some even having there own sauna rooms. the building work mentioned... more
