We are a couple who normally stay in private rooms at hostels or cheap hotels, but given prices for lodging in Bratislava we had to stay in a dorm. All the reviews seemed great, and it is true that it is clean and well located, but what you need to know is that there are far too few washrooms. We... More

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. We had several double rooms and one triple room booked for a weekend. The noise on the street was not that disturbing, but if you don't have a good sleep you may want to choose a room situated on the back side of the hostel.

A great low-budget hostel close to everything. I especially recommend Patio because of the following story: a small Roma theater group we consistently work with was recently discriminated against at another nearby hostel (when they showed up with a reservation for a performance in Bratislava, they were denied as soon as the management saw their ethnicity). Luckily, however, Patio Hostel... More

Nice little hostel, good location, really friendly staff, a nice common room, beds were comfortable and the rooms very nice. Nice garden and a full size fridge and small kitchen per half floor. Would recommend.

Bratislava was very much a stopover in our Eurotrip and we did not have high expectations with accommodation but this hostel was both great value for money, clean and in really close proximity to the Old Town- making it within stumbling distance from some of the local pubs, which really is a necessity given the availability of 1litre local beers... A really nice, clean hostel in a good location. Everything in the city centre is in walking distance and it is only a short bus ride from the train station. There is also a very large Tesco supermarket just across the road. The staff were all friendly and helped us find our way around. Our private twin room and shared... More

Nice, clean hostel in a fairly central location. The walled garden area at the back is nice for having a beer and hanging out. The staff are very friendly and know some cool local spots, so it's worth asking them for their advice. I liked the free beer on arrival, and the breakfast snack-packs for €2 were a nice alternative... More

When we got there the welcome reception consisted of getting a key, being told which room we were in (without any specifici directions), and a free beer. Compared with Hostel Blues across the road where we stayed for the second two nights of our trip, this was a little weak. The room was basically furnished, with twin beds that we... More
