It is acceptable if you have an adventure spirit! It is a normal building with flats where you have rooms! The building it is old, and has a non functioning elevator with broke windows. The room was ok, clean! We had a balcony, but it was dirty! When the staff got us to the room, along with a british couple,... More

Clean, safe, good people....I was traveling alone and met some great people at this hostel. It offers a few communal places to hang out which is nice depending on what you are looking for. The bar is nice and cheap and everyone who works there is very friendly. I would stay here again.

We booked a night's stay here during a trip backpacking around Europe. It's a cheap hostel with very basic facilities, but during our stay, none of these were working. Each set of rooms has a small kitchen which would be great if the kettle etc worked, but sadly this was not the case for is. However, the staff were friendly,... More

The hostel is very well located! The build has many other offices. There is a big living room where we can talk to others guests. Everything is clean and the room is really big with a nice decoration.

The rooms are dilapidated and unclean. Windows are broken and there are also security issues in the property. Would not recommend it to anyone. The only silver lining id=s the staff who were very cheerful and friendly.

At first I thought that this place was a joke. To get to our room I had to get to the 3rd floor by a creepy staircase with a broken elevator in a middle of it. Lights on a 2nd floor were off and the glass surrounding said elevator was broken out in few places. The room itself was not... More

The staff is especially nice and you can have some fun with them. Especially the dutch guy working at the hostel is really funny and can tell you a lot of cool things to do in and around the city. The location of the hostel is also really great.

Let me preface this by stating that I love blood, so naturally when I arrived at A1 hostel to find my bed sheets covered in the stuff, I was ecstatic. Unsurprisingly, this caused a bit of friction in our group, as my friends didn't get any blood on their sheets. However, the A1 team stepped in to highlight that the... More

We got there and we stayed there for 2 nights. 8 people in a room, 1 bathroom for 12 people. Although it had been painted recently, it was filthy, the common rooms were dirty with dust and the sofas were shabby and broken. No elevator, broken glass in the doors. It looked like a hostel from a horror movie. Moreover,... More

A1 Bratislava is a disgrace. Not only is it dirty it's dangerous. Jagged class on stairwell, difficult to find lights. No ladders to top bunks. One toilet for TWELVE people and one shower which flooded when used and no mop.
