This hotel appears to be a relic from Cold War days. The lobby seemed dark and a bit forbidding, but I think that was an energy-saving measure in the unusual heat. The receptionist told me I was the first American she'd seen at the hotel in 6 months, and, indeed, I seemed to have the hotel almost to myself. She... More

The only plus point for this hotel is the location: in the very center of the city. The hotel is old and not renovated. If you get there in the evening you will find at reception only the guardian of the hotel - an old man that speaks only hungarian (friendly, but kind of impossible to get infos from him).... More

The hotel is perfectly located in a side street of the pedestrian zone, where it's relatively quiet. The parking behind the hotel is free and there is a guard. Rooms are clean and standard, but you have to pay extra if you want the air-con to be activated (we didnt and hat mosquitoes in the room even though we stayed... More
