Located in the heart of the city. Rooms are clean and large but a bit old-fashioned. The bed is terrible. The mattress is hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The garage under the hotel is quite large and easily accessible. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The wellness satisfactory.

The hotel is located in the downtown of Sopron. Beautiful old building, renovated. Unfortunately the rooms are not renovated, so their refurbishment is not really attractive. The breakfast was good offering a wide choice of food. The personnel was kind and helpful. The bar is closed at 10 pm even in Saturday night.

Excellent location in the main part of Sopron. Having to pay for parking on site was disappointing. Our rooms, 251,250 & 249 were large and well comfortably furnished. Room lighting was much much too dim, especially in winter when there was little natural light in our rooms and it's dark by 4:00pm. Hotels buffet breakfast was OK but monotonous after... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for the thorough review. For the parking payments we are really sorry, but we are a city hotel, right in the city centre. Unfortunately, we are unable to get more parking space and therefore have to charge for the garage. However, at the time we took this decision we have dropped the price of all rooms... More

During my last visit in Sopron I tried a new hotel for me, Pannonia. It is located very central in old centre and fortunately has its own garage. The security guy who opened the Gate of the Garage looked like opening Fort Knox gate ... The atmosphere in the hotel comes with something from the past, I do not know... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for the thorough review. We are constantly improving the hotel, most parts of it are resembeling the times of the Monarchy. We still have some parts which were built in the 90-ies, but in 2016 all public areas will be upgraded. As an international hotel we are mixing continental breakfast with some local taste, most guest... More

An interesting building, warm clean comfortable room. If you are a fan of 70s retro a "classic" room will suit. I expect it will all be upgraded to bland Ibis style soon so visit while you can. Good value. If arriving by car check out parking access first to avoid grand tour of Sopron one way system.

Dear Guest, thank you for visiting us. As you note, we have different types of rooms, ranging from classic to antique and modern. We have upgraded 90% of our community space and in 2016 we will completely renovate about one quarter of our rooms. Of course we start with those which are the oldest operating rooms, not the ones we... More

This is my favorite hotel in downtown Sopron, friendly staff, close proximity to everything. I haven't been here in a couple of years, yet the staff recognized me, gave me a warm personal greeting. I would recommend for anyone to stay here, enjoy the old world charm.

My wife and I stayed for several days at end of May, 2015. Hotel has big rooms, and breakfast buffet very good. Location very convenient for walking around town and parking adequate. Only problem was that outdoor patio seemed to be shared with other rooms, but this was a minor inconvenience.

We had to quickly make alternative plans when visiting Hungary due to the refugee crisis. Our train was cancelled to Budapest. We elected to go to Sopron. It was the best decision. We loved the town and had a wonderful time at their wine festival. Probably the most memorable town of our lives.

We have spent one night end of August 2015 with baby. Personal very friendly and helpful. The first room was very hot (25C degree) and the AC was not working (it was a very sunny hot day and the shaders were opened). But the second room was fine, modern, new furniture. Large and modern bathroom. Clean and tidy room. The... More
