Stayed with 3 friends in a two bedroom apartment for one night during the Volt festival. Fully equipped, spacious, clean, comfortable, with free wi-fi, cable tv in each bedroom, 3 bathrooms, kitchen with dining room. Very quiet neighbourhood, The host was very friendly and informative, with tips and maps. Smoking was not allowed in our apartment but there is a... More

excellent small hotel. Delicious fresh breakfasts. Half a year passed, and I still remember that small hotel in Sopron where I have stayed for a couple of weeks. Located on a quiet street, and can be reached from the city centre by foot quite easily.

I have spent 8 days in Gibraltar with my wife and 10 months old daughter. I would highly recommend this place. I would also thank Éva (the host) for all the help and care. The room was spacious, but cozy. We had plenty space for our luggage, babycot, etc. The hotel is very quiet. The brakfasts were rich and tasty.... More

Éva Mayer was the icing on the cake for this place: she was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, well-furnished and stylish and the breakfast was delicious (one one occasion were were treated to apple strudel made by Éva's mother). There was a large-screen television in the rooms with cable channels, in English as well. She recommended a... More

I stayed here earlier this year and thought I had given it a review. A 15 min walk from the city centre but well worth the trek, passing two excellent top quality and very reasonably priced Hungarian restaurants on the way and a super local kochma (wine bar), just a few houses away. The Gibralter is Spotlessly clean, everything works... More

Our family stayed in two double rooms for a night in July, and we can give nothing short of full marks for this splendidly run hotel/B&B. Great rooms, reasonable rates and a decent breakfast, what more can you ask for? It´s a pity the location is a bit off the beaten track, but it is relatively easy to find your... More

We walked about 1 mile from the train station and thought we were going the wrong way as it was in a neighborhood, but we were pleasantly surprised by this delightful little hidden gem. the room was probably the nicest one of our entire month long trip. spacious, new, warm, quaint, clean. Had it all. AND Eva the host was... More

Large, clean room in fairly new building in quiet surroundings. Extreamely helpful and friendly staff and proprietors. Excellent starting point for concerts and festivals in Eastern part of Austria and Western part of Hungary. Effective air condition. High quality but reasonably priced restaurants in the area. Will definitely return.

We had a very pleasant stay at this guest house. It is 10 minutes from the centre and allows you to walk past some restaurants and cake shops that you might miss if you stay more centrally (and expensively). The room was spotless and very comfortable. A lot of care had been taken over the quality of the furnishings for... More
