This hotel is situated in the centre of Sopron. They have private small parking. Breakfast was average, but good. Our room was in 2nd floor. They haven ´t got lift. Everything was clean and nice bathroom. Price was ok. Receptionist can ´t speak english well. Sopron is so nice historical city !

I stayed here in September of 2013. I arrived late to Sopron from Prague via train mixups in Austria. The hotel itself was difficult to locate the first time in the dark (even with "helpful" directions from passersby; I'd walked from the train station), but once you've learned its location it's obvious and easy. The staff is solicitous and helpful,... More

Virtually everything: location, breakfast, cleanliness, staff, attractive living environment, a very well appointed and maintained hotel. There are no phones in the rooms no mini-fridges. Installing a room phone and a mini-fridge in each room would make this very fine hotel perfect.

I have been to Sopron many times, but in the Hotel Palatinus was the best one. Its location are brilliant, because it's so close to the attractions and the centre of the city. The rooms are quite enough for a couple, so clear, and friendly equipments. The breakfast was so delicious, we can choose from a lot of foods. Thank... More

Stayed here for a week, good value for money, walking distance from shops/restaurants, free wifi that works throughout hotel, good place to stay for business people or those wanting to stay a week or less. Breakfast was basic, nothing too fancy, you basically get your money's worth staying here.

Spent two nights here during a conference, enjoyed the great big buffet breakfast. Bed was comfy, room was pretty clean. Hotel is in the middle of the old town, with lots of sights to see nearby. Meighbourhood is calm and quiet, no cars on the street allowed. Recommend it for those who look for a simple room in the city... More

Room was very good Clean, well serviced in a brilliant location in centre of old town with courtyard parking included in price. Rooms were quiet. Has wifi Internet. Hotel is older building but well set out. Views over old town were also wonderful. Without GPS it is challenging to get in to hotel due to many one way streets in... More

Hotel Palatinus is an average hotel for young couples, families (with children) and older people too. The price of the room includes buffet breakfast, it is not very rich or delicious, but ok. The one thing that makes this hotel still unforgettable is the staff of the hotel. The crew was very professional and helpful during our stay. They had... More

My teen daughter and I stayed for 1 night June 2012. When we first arrived and asked for a room we were told they were full. I asked for a recommendation to try and was given a couple, when I asked the clerk to please call and check if the other hotel had availability, he said that now he had... More

My sister and I stayed in a twin room for 3 nights in July 2012. We arrived after in the late afternoon and were greeted by a friendly young man who checked us in and confirmed there was no evening meals available at the hotel. He offered good informatiom about where food was available nearby and we found that easily!... More
