Stayed just the one night at the Hotel Fonix but it was a very nice hotel. The place gets a bit of a bagging from Lonely Planet books but is much better than they make out. Its central location make it good for exploring the town and there are plenty of eating and drinking places all within easy walking distance.
We stayed in room 10 which is a toe-to-toe twin (only room left) but despite the odd bed position was very confortable.
Nice breakfast.
Very good value for money.

Staff here are great. Really friendly. However, the hotel seems to be geared towards conference and seemed surprised that we had booked there for 7 nights.

Hotel is nice and free internet is brilliant. Breakfasts are nice too but they enquire to your whereabouts if you choose not to go!
The only problems we had were that the sheets didn't fit the bed (they stop where the pillow starts) and there is no air conditioning. Havinig said that, the rooms were alright and the bathrooms were good.

Not a 4* but a nice place to stay near the beach.
