I spent one night in Pecs for business and had booked a room in this hotel. The room was nice and clean, also the bathroom. WIFI was free in the lobby and could be bought for the room. Im not fan of airconditioning, but I was wishing for it during the night as my room was heated up from the... More

Hotel is very close to the old city and although is located off busy street, provided good easy access to old town. Hotel was very noisy as it faces a hospital with ambulance arrivals. However it is good value for money. Generally hotel was well kept and room was clean and fresh. While some staff were very helpful, others were... More

The room I had was a basic room; I gather there are better or refurbished rooms available at a higher price. Thus, the hotel room was a little dated and harked back to the dark days of communism. I was only there for one night and the room was adequate. It was a long, narrow room and had twin beds... More

We arrived at the hotel without a reservation. The lady at the counter was more than happy to help us. We were 4 people (2 adults, 2 children). She allowed me to see two different types of rooms so we could choose the one we would like. As the rooms are rather small (but comfortable), we decided to stay in... More

The Patria is located at the heart of this historic city, few minutes by taxi from main raiwaly station. Everything is within a walking distance. Staff are extremely friendly and helpfull for non-Hungerian speaking guests (They speak German, English). My room (standard one) was comfortable and clean with nice bathroom. Breakfast is included and caters for different tastes. The hotel... More

The external appearance of the hotel is petty brutal, but the reception and dining rooms were impressive. The fridge in our room had a stale pizza in it, and there were bottles under the bed. Although a fan was provided, the room was very hot indeed, especially on the first night. Since there are no restrictions on smoking in public... More

We stayed one night at Pátria and this hotel is overpriced and over rated With taxes we paid 95Euro for a room without air-conditioned with two bad beds some furniture also without interest, this means not comfortable at all. It seems due the fact that Pécs is one of the three European Capital of Culture 2010 the hotels were full... More

The location is pretty good. It's about 15min walk to the old city centre, Szechenyi Square. Lots of shops and eateries with old charm, and all the sights of Pecs, like theTurkish minaret. The room is also very decent, not bad for a 3 star hotel.

I've stayed in this hotel on several occasions since the mid-1990s, most recently in December, 2007, and January, 2008. I know Pecs and its hotels well, since I have a summer home here, and have many friends and colleagues among the locals. I stay in hotels when I have reason to come for short periods of time, and don't want... More
