We wanted to spend a couple of nights on Lake Balaton before we took a train from Keszthely to Zagreb, Croatia (picking a rental car up in Hungary and dropping it in Croatia would have cost hundreds of dollars - so we took the train across the border and picked up another car in Zagreb). I found this hotel on the Internet after lots of searching, and was finally successful in making a reservation via email after I sent the note in German - my English email got no reply! Checking in I again had to use my German, since the owners speak no English. This place was a steal - at 48 Euros a night including breakfast! I wasn't expecting much, but the place was meticulous - pool area very clean, our room included a small kitchenette and a small patio with table/chair to sit on - there were also tons of flowers all over the grounds.
