The hotels location is excellent. It is located on the heart of town, next to the pedestrian street, a few hundred meters from the world famous spa. The hotel staff is very kind and polite, always and everywhere the guests are at your disposal. The kitchen, the food selection is good. One little problem is that the underground garage parking... I and my family find this hotel very pleasant and ideally situated. It is a short walk to Lake Heviz which is the world's 2nd largest thermal lake famous for its curative effects. There are also plenty of small boutiques around the area as well as cafes and good local restaurants. The charge of €8 a day for having the... More

Dinner and breakfast is very good, the rooms are clean and cultured in the medium-sized spa but good. The hotel is close to the lake, boats can walk from here. Perfect for a long weekend. The parking garage is a little tighter, it would not hurt to pay attention to amateur drivers.

Absolutely not a 4* hotel and palace neither. Booked for a weekend in 2012-JUL. The parking place in the underground garage is too tight for a normal sized car and it has extra cost. You have to get out in the opposite side of your car. The food is horrible, greasy, oily and bad looking. The staff is unfriendly. The... More

From the outside the hotel looks great but the reception staff is unfriendly. We were there in the off-season, the hotel was maybe half full but we had to wait for our room until the "official" check-in time. I don't believe that the room wasn't ready before. The reception staff's knowledge of foreign languages is poor. The rooms were ok... More

Good locations very close to the entry in thermal lake and direct on the city centre. Large rooms. But: small wellness area compared to the size of the hotel (crowded sauna, no sunbeds at non-peak season), buffet breakfast and dinner with low selection of not-that-tasty meals, unprofessional staff (reception, restaurant and wellness) Night bar open till 21:30PM??? Don´t understand the... More

My sister and I were staying in Heviz at another hotel but thought after a day at the thermal spa we would see if we could dine at the Palace Hotel. We were able to dine there as non-residents after enquiring with the receptionist. The food okay but the beef was tough and the fish was not very nice. Apart... More

The hotel's wellness section, the atmoshphere, the food are average four star quality, but we were given apartment rooms, which have a separate sleaping room, and are very cinvinient, if you travel with two or more children.

very nice hotel, large room, good service... food is very good, and there is plenty of it... that is why it is crowded especially on weekends.

My wife and I were a little misinformed when we chose to stay in Heviz. We didn't realise that the thermal springs had such a stench. We also thought that it was a health retreat (read: luxury spa, fresh food, energetic staff to motivate the masses), instead it was a centre for unhealthy retirees to wollow impolitely in smelly water,...
