Lovely family run hotel, near Eger city center. Very friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast. Air condtioning in our room failed, and was fixed within an hour. Lovely little garden to take coffee in, and a good supply of bottled beer for a chilaxing evening :) Will be going back in July 2015

The hotel was relatively clean, really close to the city center, warm welcome from the hotel service with a bottle of wine, private parking is about 20 meters away, closed for the night. For two days stay it is worth the price. The breakfast could have been better, but with the city center being really close it is better to... More

The Romantik hotel is a small hotel just 5 minutes from the main street of Eger. The day i have arrived they offered me a nice glass of red hungarian wine. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, The room was a bit small but for me was more then enought the bathroom nice and clean. Breakfast is really good... More

Once we found the hotel, not so easy as many of Eger's town centre roads were being dug up, it didn't look so speacial from the outside, but the room was really nice and good value for money. We didn't find any of the downers which others have written about: incredibly friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts though other guests... More

The hotel has a pleasant garden where guests can relax during the warmer months. Rooms adjacent to the garden also have chairs outside access doors, which guests can use. Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Guest room and common areas were all very clean. Breakfast room is delightful - lots of natural light, facing the garden. The WiFi in... More

We think this lovely little hotel in Eger, Hungary, is definitely recommended. It’s just a short walk from the pedestrianized old town, with all the main sights and plenty of eating options. It was really hard to find this, as the Google map we had wasn’t accurate and Eger was bigger than we expected, with many one-way streets, so we... More

We selected this hotel based on other travellers' reviews but were disappointed. We paid for a superior room but felt that overall it represented very poor value for money. There are plus points such as its location within walking distance of the town centre and the free parking spaces just across the road. However our superior room was quite small,... More

Our double room at the far end of the garden area was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. However, it was decorated with lots of tired-looking red satin and it had too much furniture for the size so there was nowhere to set down and open our luggage. The superior rooms may be much nicer. Breakfast was fine.... More

Well, to start with there is not so much hotel choice in Eger and I'm sure that Romantik could be better. However, I give it a "very good" because of the people who were great (including the cat) and they seemed like they cared about their hotel and guests. Breakfast was excellent and the back garden was lovely. Keep it... More

Overall it was a good stay at this hotel but there were some negatives. This is a small hotel more similar to a B&B. I booked a room for four of us. 2 adults and 2 children. The room normally sleeps 3 so I had to pay extra for an extra bed but it was still quite reasonable. It fit... More
