My wife and I spent three exceptionally pleasant nights at the Nomad Hotel recently, not because we had consciously selected it but because it was an integral part of a wide-ranging nature tour we were taking through a number of Hungary's national parks. Others on this site have praised it and its owners repeatedly and there is no need to... More

Stayed here with 2 friends on a bird watching break, the hotel rooms and gardens where excellent, and the food was fantastic. Barbara the owner Andover staff couldn't have been more helpful, even let us make a lunch up from the extensive breakfast feast provided daily. Would recommend this hotel to anyone you will not be disappointed. John,Tony and Dave

Not sure how many times we have visited, but last week's stay was excellent, as always. Wonderful walking in the local hills, great wine, room comfortable and the food ! Klara is determined to send me to an early grave. Cannot recommend this place too highly for a break, only a couple of hours from Budapest.Try it.

We went for and "ad hoc" lunch and stayed longer because of the nasty weather, which enabled us to prolong the enjoying of the atmosphere and the friendly company of the owners, who tried to support our leave, and kept informing on the conditions of the surrounding roads. Finally we stayed overnight because of the conditions, but this was the... More

We have spent two nights in this small family run hotel, - returning guests actually. The food is really the highlight, especially great choice for breakfast with some local cuisine items you do not find anywhere else. The owners are really friendly and go the extra mile to serv the guests. On the other hand rooms are quite small and... More

This hotel is fine, but it is a bit of a trek to the town of Eger. Owner was very accommodating and professional when decided to check out early. Make sure you ask how much the welcome meal will be. You will pay for a lot of food, but will not allowed to take the left overs with you. Overall,... More

Wonderful rooms - I could not believe that my 'suite' was all for me! Peaceful and welcoming. The food is amazing - no-one will go hungry here, with all food home cooked with love. Ideally situated for excursions into the hills and a friendly bar with enveloping arm chairs awaiting your return. Have a look around outside - a great... More

The Nomad is a quirky hotel in many ways, it must be said. The rooms are all different, and number 56 is adjacent to number 7. You get a small piece of soap if you ask for it. (Otherwise, there was liquid soap in the shower only in my room.) Outbuildings, of which there are many, are in various stages... More

The service is perfect, and you can feel it is a family business The food is a must here with a 5 stars hotel breakfast and very nice original local meals fo dinner However, some emergency improvment are needed in terms... It was more than perfect. The food, the place, the room. In one word brilliant. We had a room with a double sized bathtub and it was so lovely. The mood was perfect. Everybody was so lovely. In the last night we had a very romantic dinner on a bridge not to far from the hotel. We enjoyed the fantastic... More
