Really good Spa weekend we had in there with my fiancée. The food was absolutely stunning and delicious. Everything is in a walking distance. Rooms were nice and clean and not loud at all. Would definitely recommend it for everyone who likes swimming, sauna and just chilling.

Eger is famous for red wines, so don't visit if you have to drive home! There are so many places to try wines, anyone liking wine should visit. The hotel has a "old Classic" part, with rooms fit for royalty, the restaurant are in the old section, in rooms as beautiful as any old hotel in Bath or Harrogate. The... More

Always clean, nice normal sized rooms. Staff is polite and helpful. The restaurant is huge and nice, the food is good, the desserts look great, but they taste not so delicious. The HEP is recommended.

As the title goes, this hotel has supreme location in Eger. The historic part of the town is just a 10 minute stroll away, including Dobo Square and the cozy streets. The Castle itself is also an extra five minutes from the afforementioned spots, so yes, excellent location. The rooms was nice, they heeded to our requests regarding our newborn... More

We went there with family. We were located in the old building - nicely renovated, not only functional but quite aesthetic as well. Beds were extremely good, the sleeping experience was somewhat diminished by the heating which we couldn't really figure out - it was hot and very dry in the room. The wellness area was extremely crowded, so we... More

Eger is a lovely city, so by all means leave Budapest and come visit. I stayed here twice due to its nearness to Eszterhazy Karoly College (get the tour and see the Panopticon!). I was in the new wing. The new wing is less expensive than the older one. Rooms are functional, bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is a hike... More

I stayed in the old part of the hotel and the room was comfortable with a balcony with table and chairs. Although it was too cold to go outside and enjoy the view I guess this would be great in summer. The room had old world charm but was very comfortable and in good order. It's a huge hotel and... Over the past few years, whenever I am Eger, I will stay in the hotel because of its close proximity (5 minutes walk) to Eszterhazy Karoly College as my institution has a very close association with this college. Thus its location is certainly important. My recent stay was for three nights and I was put in the new wing of... More

A number of us stayed here in August. Some of us thought the hotel rates three stars; others liked it. Some had poor rooms; some had better rooms. But the hotel is past it's best. Most people had a fitting or two that didn't wok. I personally rate it just over 3.5, so a generous rounding up gives it four... More

Perhaps this wasn't the hotel for us. It was overrun by noisy family groups. The room was small and pokey with beds of a minimum standard. The bathroom was surprisingly big but the shower was virtually disfunctional and it was difficult not to flood the bathroom when using it. The staff had no understanding of the meaning of service. The... More
