Wonderful place to stay while visiting Eger, within easy walking distance of the town, but set on the hill so has a lovely view over it. Very attentive and friendly staff. Fabulous spa facilities including pool, Jacuzzi and sauna free to use. Lovely rooms with huge bathrooms. Large buffet style breakfast with something for everyone. As previously mentioned it is... We have stayed here three times and will go back again and again. The hotel is a jewel of peace and tranquility where you can relax, unwind and enjoy life at any pace you want. The owners are kind and charming and the rooms wonderful. It's hard to find anything to find fault with. It's great. If you're in or... More

Great location for exploring Eger. The facility grounds and gardens are beautiful and create a relaxing environment. The breakfast was great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a quick walk into the Eger city square and the castle. The bed was not the most comfortable but that is to be expected in most of Europe! The... More

This is a really nice place to stay, only about 10 rooms and really well laid out with swimming pool, garden and great buffet breakfast. It is pretty difficult to find though down a side road and away from the city centre, but that adds to its exclusivity

A very comfortable hotel with a slightly jumped up view of itself. A lot of amenities for a small hotel - swimming pool, jaccuzzi and small gym. Breakfast was pretty nice. Staff v friendly and speak (or try to speak) good English. Room nice and big, lovely big shower room. Beds very comfortable. Be warned: the hotel is quite a... More

If staff asks you on breakfast, would you like a cup of chocolate or cappuccino, pl. say NO if you don't want to pay extra because it will costs you 400 and 450 HUF and NOT free of charge. The hotel is on the mountain, so we must rely on taxi service, we provide discount coupon of taxi company to... More

Like all the other previous reviews, I would not complain about a thing. Ok, maybe tricky to find without a GPS. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. We were offered a welcome drink, which is a nice gesture. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, bath robes provided for welness area. We stayed just for one night... More

We stayed here in mid-November, a potentially dreary time of year. Eger was immersed in fog for two of our three days here, and the third was a warm sunny day. Our impressions of the Palazzo were pretty much the same as those in previous reviews. We drove from Budapest, and without a GPS the place would have been difficult... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. Unique bedrooms. Pool and sauna was great after a day out seeing the sights. Beautiful gardens and plenty of outside seating. 10-15 minutes walk to the town centre. Breakfast was varied with slightly different home cooked options available each morning. Would certainly return.

Arrived by car from Budapest after a flight from London to be greeted by the unfailingly enthusiastic owners. Secure off-street parking was an added bonus as we enjoyed Eger so much the car didn't move until it was time to leave. We stayed 3 nights in the standard 4 bed room, which was surprisingly spacious. The main door opens into... More
