The Hotel Szent Janos is on a quiet pedestrian street less than 1/2 a block from the old town square. It's a few blocks to the castle and a few blocks to the cathedral. There are no restaurants or bars on the street making the street very quiet at night.

The rooms are average europian sized. Some of the rooms are bigger with a separate space for a sitting area. We tried 3 rooms before we found one without a broken shower and with working lights. Our room was on the top floor. It was great with a walkthrough closet, a sky light and ample room. The walkthrough closet had plenty of room to store our stuff without cluttering the bed room. The bathroom had room to move around. Some of the rooms only have baths, so you may want to request one with a shower if you are so inclined.

The hotel has a great glassed roofed lounge. Unfortunately if one person is smoking the entire building becomes smoky. Even with the non-smoking rooms, it can be tough making it to your... more
