We spent Valentine weekend at the Divinus. It is billed as the first 5 star hotel in Debrecen, but as you will see by previous comments and now my own review, it is nowhere near being a 5 star hotel in and way, shape or form, I have stayed in better two star hotels. Our room was quite large, a... More

This hotel is amazing. The decor is fantastic and the rooms are great. Prices are really quite cheap for a 5 star however this is probably down to location, not with regard to location within the city but Debrecen is not Hungary's top tourist destination. Do not use the mini bar in the room as per usual, it's going to... More

Looks good on the outside but as soon as you get to reception it starts to go downhill. Reception did not seem really friendly and they did not appear to have a good command of English and when requested for local information they were unable to provide without the use of Google. Staff appeared to be willing and hard-working but... More

We spent a wellness weekend here from Budapest. (mid 50's) Bonus points: - champagne for the breakfast included in the package price! - very professional "sauna seance". Free fruits and fresh drinks were served beetween the seances, - well equiped fittness room. Negs: - too small the wellness area, crowd in the pools and in the saunas, - there are... More

This hotel purports to be a 5 star hotel but it is definitely not. The decor and furniture are good but the service and food are poor. The shower in my room as too small. I had 1 dinner in the hotel. I was the only person in the restaurant and when the food arrived I could see why. It... More

To be honest it was one of my favourite Hungarian countryside hotels but now I realised that if I look at it realistic, it's on a steep slope downwards. The receptionists' behaviour is awful and really the worst what I've ever seen, there's no body lotion in a "5-star" hotel but the worst experience which shocked me was the cuisine!... More

Said to be the first 5* hotel in Eastern Hungary but did not live up to the standard. The interior design is shockingly ugly with its faux antic goldish mosaics all around. Breakfast and dinner (both included in the price) were basic, accompanied by awful music. Dark room, comfy bed. Wellness was OK, the swimming pool seemed shorter than 25... More

I would rate this hotel as 4 star maybe 4 star superior but definitely not 5 star. My partner and I stayed there 2 nights half board. The hotel is well located next to a large park and within walking distance of the centre. The spa area is a good size, clean and well maintained. Good size gymnasium. Rating =... More

I have been a regular guest of the hotel for more than several times now in the last couple of months and stayed in different rooms. What I would mention as positive features of this hotel would be spacious rooms, comfortable bed, usually quite rooms (tonight and maybe 2-3 times there was a noise in front of the entrance), location... The waiters are disorganized and slow. When you ask about the wine they are serving they only know if it's white or red. The soup had no taste at all. The main course was small which could be prepared by an avarage person, I would have expected better from the restaurant of a five star hotel. I do not recommend... More
