We visited here for a few days at new year. The room was quite small & quite basic really. The staff were nice enough. The hotel was in a great location we just had to walk over the bridge to get to the main attractions. Didn't eat or drink in the hotel so unsure of that

I got my boyfriend a trip to Budapest for Christmas, I looked at many hotels before I settled on this one. It didn't disappoint. We had a lovely view over the Danube the hotel was clean friendly and quiet and excellently located right on the river on the Buda side of the city. The staff we friendly and checking in... More

Staff waited up for us to check in well past mid night even though our flight was heavily delayed. A beautiful and charming hotel with a gorgeous view. Our room had a river view room which I would definitely recommend over the Castle view, as you can't really see all that much of the castle from the hotel. Staff were... More

We stayed at the Lanchid 19 hotel over the New Year period and it was excellent. We had a river view room with a great view of the Chain Bridge on the fourth floor, amazing! The hotel is stylish with art decor, but not thrown in your face. It's not at all pretentious but still maintains a certain classiness. The... More

Couple aged 30 and 33 Stayed in Lanchid 19 for a New Year break. We had an amazing View of Danube and chain bridge and Parliament building. Room: modern, comfortable and clean. Staff: friendly and welcoming. Easily accessible for other parts of town. Would recommend to anyone wanting a romantic break.

Had the opportunity to stay at the Lanchid for four nights while visiting Budapest in December. Overall it was great. Biggest highlight may have been the large spacious and modern rooms - great beds with a view out to Budapest. The minimal bathroom in bright orange tiles was very cool and contained all of the extras you could need. Upon... More

Great location near castle and chain bridge, we had a castle view and the view was surreal. The staff were polite and welcoming. The room was well set out and had everything we needed. Slight negatives included the room being far to warm, the shower was set low down and fiddly and the unincluded breakfast cost was bit high. Overall... More

My boyfriend brought me to Budapest for my birthday and also because I'm obsessed with Christmas. Budapest is such a magical city, absolutely stunning and to top it all off we stayed in this beautiful hotel. We were very lucky to get a river view room on the 6th floor. The view was amazing especially at night time with the... More

I stayed here one night in connection with work and it all worked out very well - I stayed at a room with "Castle wiev" and a small balcony - nice rooms with a bit clumsy arrangement for shower (in the tub) - Liked the food, the bed and the location - very nice and quiet - a bit too... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
