The good: - staff very friendly and helpful - great interior and exterior - rooms are nice and modern The not so good: - location is a bit out of the way with nothing remarkable in the immediate vicinity - shower design is fancy but a bit impractical (what if I don't want to wash my hair) - no shoehorn... Very attractive Inside and out. Almost everything you see you can take a picture of. Top notch service from the minute we walked through the door. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Do recommend you pre-booking your breakfast with the room to save a little. (expidia.com) Otherwise its 25 euro per person each day. If your going to Budapest... More

We absolutely love the hotel. It rates as one of the best we have stayed in. After a long drive we arrived and the staff were fantastic. They looked after us outstandingly well. The room was great. Given the hour we ordered room service which was fantastic. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Unimposing outside fantastic inside. The main hall is a wonder to behold as is the new york cafe (which is like dining in St.Peters). The room was huge and the bathroom was great (again hope you like marble as its obviously the main material used). All great, but here come the down sides: 1) the shower had no hot water... More

We stayed here April 2013 and it was fabulous. Good location, luxurious room, breakfast was out of this world and all at a snip of a price via a budget holiday company. It was special through and through.

Great building brought back to life! The lobby is amazing, room was good, food and drinks all served well! Buffet breakfast was fabulous! All the staff we encountered were first class! Only issue we had was we thought we'd booked into the hotel, however be very careful as the apartments give the impression they are in the hotel, they're NOT!!

Wanted something special as a birthday treat. Could not have wished for anymore. Beautiful hotel, the restaurant was unbelievably attractive, staff very friendly and attentive, accommodation of the highest standard. When we arrived, we were up graded to a junior suite at no additional cost. This was a lovely gesture on behalf of the hotel, and they even left me... More

This hotel is what I would think of if we were talking about and old world hotel. Very ornate lobby area, impressive tile design on the floor, archways you see as you look up from the lobby. All of the staff are first rate. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Check in went smoothly no problems at all. However getting to... More

I went here for my girlfriends birthday for 4 nights, the staff were brilliant in helping from everything from the best places to go in the day and how to get there booking us tables and suggesting nice little unknown places to eat. The rooms were lovely, brilliantly cleaned everyday with everything tidied and changed. Everyone had a smile on... More

This is a refurbished historic building and a famous old coffee house called The New York coffee house. It appears on all the city tours and is a grand attraction. It is in fact very beautiful if you you like gold leaf and 18/19 century ceilings. We went there for Christmas and frankly it was a disappointment. The Christmas special... More
