The Boscolo's restaurant is the truly palatial New York Cafe, and the rest of the hotel aspires to complement this style. We enjoyed our three nights there very much and recommend the breakfast buffet which was excellent each day and in such a beautiful room. The hotel is close to a metro station and tram stops (we loved the trams... More

Fantastic hotel with friendly staff whom speaks as well as understand English. The room service is splendid, but I do recommend dining in the :New York café, which is a " must see" I'm Budapest. Teatime with live music playing in the background and enjoy the magnificent artwork. Enjoy your stay

hotel is amazing. We booked standard room and that was impressive. No tea and coffee facilities in std rooms but everything else was spot on. Had breakfast in New York cafe every morning which was very good. Service in restaurant very slow and staff not that eager to serve. Hotel staff were all very good and would go that extra... More

If you stay for a night in Budapest, you will not go wrong with this property. It's a beautifully restored building. Great service. They go out of their way to please one. We had a suite, a Large living area. The bedroom was equally large with a spa like bathroom. Closet was bigger than most closets in homes. Decorations were... More

This is the first time we have ever stayed in a five star hotel and it has most spoiled us for ever! Staff extremely helpful and polite, the bedroom was spotless and beautiful - having breakfast every day in the New York cafe was a highlight. The hotel is in a brilliant location with everything in walking distance ( for... More

Great rooms, huge impressive internal balconies. Situated right on the hop on hop off bus route. New York cafe is within the building. Fab breakfast with lots of choice. Pianist in bar on an evening. Sadly cheaper bars just around the corner

We chose this hotel as I was celebrating with a friend our landmark birthdays and we wanted this trip to be special. Located in Pest it is situated close to all the wonderful city of Budapest has to offer in a very convenient location for the Hop on / off bus. This absolutely stunning hotel didn't fail to impress with... More

Had the bad fortune of staying at Boscolo, Budapest. Rooms are stinking, key cards don't work and above all, the complete front office staff are so unfriendly. Especially the Concierge Mr Petre, who spoilt my Budapest trip. They all have a communist attitude and treat the guests with utmost disdain. My advice is STAY AWAY!

A reasonably priced 5* hotel in the heart of Budapest!! The bathroom was lovely, the shower was powerful. The pillows were devine. The best night sleep in a very long time! Heart of the city as well. We didn't get chance to use the facilities but they looked great

This is a beautiful hotel. The lobby and the restaurants are beautiful and the guest rooms are very nice. However, I did not like the location at all. To me it is too far from the Danube. Also, I have never had to wait so late to be able to check in to a hotel. It was almost 4 PM... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
