We stayed for 3 nights in March. The hotel was easy to find, and a short walk/taxi from most recommended sites. The staff were really friendly and struck a good balance between being helpful and unobtrusive. Breakfast was ample and a good range of options. Everything was very clean. Design is modern. Our room had a high ceiling and large... More

Very nice hotel in an old building very nicely renovated. Extremely friendly staff, always helpful and thoughtful. Free computers in the lobby ,free coffee tea all the time , even water bottles also free by the lobby.!! The only complain is that the very nice and new shower had a button to transfer the water from the hand shower to... More

This hotel is a little gem. My three friends and I stayed for four nights and we could not have had better service anywhere. The staff are effficient, nothing too much trouble for them, they go out of their way to accomodate. The hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfasts are excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I and my parents visted Budapest, for the first time, to bring in the new year 2012. We stayed at the hotel Parlament for 6 nights from Dec through to Jan. I had emailed the hotel a couple of times, before we were travelling, to ask about restaurant recommendations, etc and they always answered my emails right... More

We have visited Budapest twenty times, staying at different hotels, some very expensive and exclusive. Once we discovered this one we have only stayed at one other (their sister hotel, and that was only because this one was fully booked). The staff are always very efficient, friendly and kind. On our most recent stay there was a bowl of fruit... More

A very well situated hotel close to the river and the parliament buildings. The hotel is very modern and minimalist in style, unusually it does match the pictures!! All the public areas and rooms are well finished and comfortable, the only criticism is the temperature of our room, it was like an oven, even turning the air con down to... More

My wife and I and two colleagues stayed here for 5 nights, on a business/sight seeing trip. Our rooms were very comfortable, they had views down through the glass roof of the breakfast room. The buffet style breakfast had an excellent selection of Hungarian cheeses and hams, sausage. Hot sausage, bacon, omelette, boiled eggs etc, 6+ types of cereals. Teas,... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
