I have been staying at Császár Hotel every summer for the past 10 years. I particularly like the location and the friendly staff. The breakfast is quite adequate and the view from the breakfast room is exceptional. Although the rooms are small, the price is certainly good and I don't spend time in Budapest to stay in my room. The hotel did not really resemble the photos and was a lot more dated and the rooms a lot smaller than expected. We had booked in for a week, but had to leave after one night. The room/bathroom was so small there was nowhere to put out suitcase or toiletries, the air-con did nothing other than make noise. There was... More

Would recomend to friends ;) nice, clean hotel, not so far from city center, simply breakfast, friendly staff, great outdoor pool for free. I would recomend this hotel to my friends without any problems. If you need a quiet hotel with outdoor pool, go for this one

Hotel is relatively basic but has an Olimpic size swimming pool and a nice recreation area of its own. Located in a quiet area of Buda almost on the river bank with amazing panoramic views. Rooms are small but tidy and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but fresh and satisfying. The best feature of this hotel is its staff. Here you... More

Very friendly staff! Fine location near the Margerat island on the Buda side of Budapest. Needs: Restaurant, sun chairs, better aircondition. But a good hotel to the price. Overall are we satisfied with our stay.

Biggest con:ground rooms are half under ground with ground window with grid +nice big pool -used by sportclubs and public +walking distance to the city -not too pleasant location -old and not modern feeling

Thank you for the honest feedback. It is true that we have rooms on the ground floor, that are looking over the street, I'm sorry that you didn't find them satisfactory. Usually guests who don't stay long, prefer to stay in those rooms because of their great price value and the easy reach of the swimming pools. We are proud... More

I spent 2 nights at this hotel with my husband couple of weeks ago. The staff is great always helpful with a smile - day or night. Room was pretty basic but very clean. Breakfast simple but plentiful. One complaint - both mornings we were there they did not have any black tea, just herbal teas. On second morning I... More

The hotel facilities are basic. The room was clean, the bathroom a little too small. Breakfast was available and included in the room's rate, providing a small, but tasty variety of continental choices. Overall, a basic hotel, good value for money, good location.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Being woken at 5.45am was very irritating and unexpected. The room was small ,but adequate. Breakfast was ok. We found it to be in a good location for getting around and made use of the staff for advice on this. We had the Hop on Hop off tickets. Staff also arranged the minibus... More

Thank you for your honest feedback! I understand it, must have been uncomfortable to be woken up early by the pool staff and I do apologize for that. We have taken serious measure to control noise levels while setting up the pool. I'm happy to read that you had a nice time overall and that you found our staff friendly.... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Our rooms was small but clean. The bathroom is sectioned off from the main room by a sliding door only and the bathroom was very basic. The shower/tiling needs updating and the ventilation to the area requires attention! The hotel has access to an... More
