I spent several days in September and again in November '08. I loved this small hotel. It is very reasonably priced for a very decent quality hotel, that I could find in the Budapest area.
It is a distance from the center, on the Buda side. The city center is easily accessible with the HÉV suburban train to Batthyány Tér (Római Fürdő stop), which then connects you with a direct subway to the Pest side. This hotel puts you within easy distance for also exploring Obuda and Szentendre. The Budapest Card as well as the regular bus tickets include this train. The hotel sits in a residential area, an easy stroll away from the Roman ruins.
It's a quiet family-run property. The desk staff speak English very well. They can help organize transportation to/from the airport, as well as tours.
