We are situated in center of VII district, which is the party center of Budapest, so beware IF you are sensitive to hearing music and people partying all night. The area has best to offer of Budapest, easy access to transport, lots of bars, cafeterias and restaurants, walking distance from many attractions such as Gozsdu udvar, Opera, Deak Ferenc ter, fashion street. many pubs including ruin pubs such as szimpla kert are also within our part of district

NEVER STAY IN THIS HOSTEL FOR YOUR WELL-BEING DURING TRAVELLING. It was a horrible experience I will never forget. It is hard to describe, but the hostel scared me out, and I tried to leave it soon after my arrival. The hostel and room, in reality, were far different from the advertised pictures. It took me ages to find the hostel. When I entered the room, I discovered it was inappropriate for anyone to live in. It was cold and smelt very weird. The furniture was much lower than the basic standard. I tried to find a button to warm the room but gave up after several tries. There was no internet at all in the room. The light bulb colour (from the 1st floor to my room floor) reminded me of movies having scenes of prostitution rooms. I rated it one star, but it deserves no star.

This is not even a proper guest house / hotel. It is an apartment in a residential building and they have put bunk beds in the rooms. Owner sends you the code of the building door by email. Overall it was very bad. Toilets were extremely dirty and smelled worse than a public toilet. We stayed there in December and paid almost 24€ per night. Owner is friendly, but it is not at all worth it. DO NOT GO THERE !!!

WE HAD OUR BELONGINGS STOLEN even though we were the only ones there most of the time. This hostel was dirty - too dirty to shower - and it seemed that someone was sleeping in the kitchen. The sheets did not smell clean and the kitchen was filthy. It was like someone's apartment with bunk beds in the two rooms. Only one toilet. No lockers. Door codes emailed to guests before check in, not all guest's ID checked, and no lock on dorm room. Clearly an invitation for thieves and careless from the owner. Who knows when they last changed the door codes. We came home on the second night around 1am to find our belongings gone. The owner is more scary than helpful... We felt unsafe and left the hostel at 3:30am to find somewhere else to sleep. I absolutely recommend that you DO NOT STAY HERE. The location in hindsight was average because lots of other hostels are in this area too.

My friend and I arrived at 17:00. We planned to have a fast shower and to go explore the city. BUT the receptionist came only at 18:40. All this time we were waiting for him in the kitchen. We couldn't pay by Card, so we had to go outside to withdraw cash. All in all we were ready to go only at 20:00. There's a big problem with cleanliness in this place. In the kitchen, and especially in the bathrooms. Also my sleeping sheet doesn't smell fresh. The street nearby is very loud in Friday evening (or maybe everyday, can say for sure only about Friday), so you'll need earplugs to fall asleep. Highly recommend to find another option.

For the cheap price I paid (7€ per night), I was of course not expected luxury but not that place, called a "hostel" to be that bad. First, the toilet and showers are really dirty, literally I haven't had any shower in this place to avoid to have contact with anything. The rooms also had a bad smell, like when windows are not often open. In general the hostel smelled bad (bathroom, food, cigarette). And the bed sheets made me scratching my skin when I was sleeping in shorts. Second, it is not a reliable place. The "owner" or the guy who was "working" there was not really welcoming when I arrived with my friends. For the payment, we didn't have any recept or document to sign so I regretted to give him my money without asking. The rooms are not locked (which can happen) and didn't have any small safes for our valuable things. As a result, I've spent 4 days in Budapest carrying my laptop. The entrance door is also often open and we can smell cigaretts from people smocking in the stairs. Finally some people that I am not sure they were guests seem to come in and out like they want... Maybe I exaggerate, but this is Not what I expect from an hostel, not even the minimum. I don't recommend this place but if you still want to go there, spend less time there as possible and enjoy Budapest :)

Very dirty, situated in a very noisy and low neighborhood, smelly bathrooms (to say the least) and NOT a good value for money. Everything was covered in dirt or dust and the other people in the same room looked worse than the homeless outside. Would rather pay more and get better, cleanier service for next time.

What a mess. We booked hostel 3 months before arrival but week before they told us there is no space! We had to spend time and find another place of course not as well placed. Very bad experience. Not recommend. You never know if you can stay there or not.

I have visited more then 50 hostels all over the world, and i have never had such experience, they cancelled my reservation one day before my arrival. Budapest has great number of excellent and cheaper hostels/pansions, so dont waste your time and money on this one.

This hostel was in the perfect location in budapest, the best bars and eateries around the corner! The place itself was a little run down, and lots of stairs to climb to get there! Kitchen well equipped and all in all, was good value for money.
