stayed for one whole week at the burg hotel with my family and I must say that this hotel made our stay worth every penny. Extremely polite and helpful staff, really affordable price and a superb location.

It you can't afford the Hilton, this is a good inexpensive hotel right in the middle of the sights ion Castle Hill. The location was excellent, as was the free wifi, complimentary breakfast and service. The decor is a bit dated and room a bit worn, but it was clean and a good value for the price. Our biggest complaint... More

This was the second hotel on our month long trip. It sits in the most wonderful location on Castle Hill. The staff was very friendly and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Castle Hill itself is beautiful at night but don't expect to sleep passed 700 am because the beautiful church that sits right across the street... More

Good clean hotel large rooms and a great view. Breakfast OK. Plenty of nice places to eat in the area. Booked taxi both ways but lucky if you get a taxi driver that gives you the reduced rate on return journey.

This hotel was booked for me by colleagues for a meeting. I am SO glad they did, because otherwise I wouldn't have found it. It was great. I stayed for 2 nights. Firstly, you can contact them (details on their website) to ask them to arrange a taxi for you from the airport; this was great because there was a... More

We spent two nights at the Burg Hotel on the Buda side of Budapest at the end of August. The Burg Hotel was located in a prime location on Castle Hill, across the street from Matthias Cathedral. Out our window we could see the Cathedral. On the tour we took it was reported that this Hotel was the former headquarters... More

The hotel is located on the St. Trinity Square very close to St. Matthias Church. The staff was very efficient. The rooms are small but very clean. The breakfast was varied and very good. The breakfast room overlooked the square and the church. The hotel is conveniently located to visit historical sites in Budapest. The price is great and I... More

The Burg Hotel was a great place to stay in the Castle district. I was grateful for the affordable price, and very happy with the location, which was only a short walk from all of the Castle complex museums, Matthias Church, and a good number of restaurants. In addition to exploring the Castle area, on the Buda side of the... More

The hotel is well-situated in the Castle district very close to the Fisherman's Bastion and across the plaza from the old Matthias Church. Staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. That said, this place is a dump! It looks great from the outside and the lobby looks fairly nice. The rooms were extraordinarily dated and shabby and the mattresses old... More

My first trip to Budapest was enhanced by the stay at this hotel which is superbly situated within a couple of minutes walk of the Fisherman's Bastion which offers excellent views over the Danube and Pest. Rooms are basic but adequate and very well priced. The breakfast was very good and certainly far more than I would normally eat of... More
