My partner and I would just like to comlement this hotel on the excellent service that we received while staying there. It was wonderful value with breakfast and dinner included in the deal. The dinner was wonderful. Our window looked out to Marget Island the room was clean, comfortable and it was one of our favourite places that we stayed... more

If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to stop in Budapest then this place is great. We stopped for 3 nights and it worked out as roughly £50 per night. That includes breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was lovely. However, we did not eat dinner on the boat as it didn't look too nice. The boat is in... more

The boat is docked in the center of town, across from the island, which makes everything really convenient. Public transportation is about a 7 minute walk along the river away, which is not bad at all. I stayed in the hostel rooms, which are downstairs. It was a perfect size for me, very comfortable and affordable. I very much enjoyed... more

I stayed in the Fortuna Botel for nine nights. It was during the Sziget -week. For those of you who do'nt know: Sziget is a huge popfestival on an island in the Danube a few kilometers away in the middle of august. Fortuna is located excellent for Sziget-visitors. About 300 meters away from the botel lies the boat that goes... more

Although this hotel is one of the cheapest places to stay in Budapest, there are a few things to keep in mind before choosing to stay there. First of all the rooms are extremely small in size. If you are taller than 1,80m then you might have a problem stretching yourself while in bed and will probably bump into the... more

This is a good place to stay, right on the river in Budapest. It's a little walk to the shops, 5 or 10 minutes. Some may complain about walking that far, I think it's no problem. Bed was good, aircon was great (summer) and the food in the restaurant was very nice. Breakfast was fairly standard continental, but good. And... more

This hotel is friendly, inexpensive and in an ideal location.... The rooms are small and fairly basic but they have a tv and bathroom ( if you book one with the ensuite). The breakfast is simple but edible and the staff were very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is unique. more

We booked a double room with a queen bed and were given a room divided into two cabins with four bunk beds. When we complained that this was not what we had booked the concierge simply said they didn't understand our booking - even though it was clearly stated on our booking confirmation & had given us the biggest room... more

If luxury hotels is not your need, try Boat Hotel, in the heart of the city, great experience, great view. Imagine waking up and seeing the river in front of you and margaret island a few metres away. Just keep in mind: small rooms, and no bar after 23:00. more
