I was very excited to be staying on a boat, this one having hotel rooms on the 2nd and 1st floors and the hostel rooms below deck. The room itself was quite large, I think i got a double room, though I only booked a single. The sheets were clean, and I was provided with a towel, which were changed the first 2 nights I stayed, and not changed the last 3 nights!
The female showers are shared for the hostel and are actually pretty disgusting. Mould everywhere - I ensured I did not touch the sides. The showers did not feel very private, with just a flimsy curtain separating you from the female toilet blocks.
There was no atmosphere in the entire boat, and the staff were not friendly, with the exception of 1 of the main reception men. There was a 15 minute walk (crossing a busy road) to the main street with metro lines.
On the plus side it was lovely listening to the lap of the water as I fell asleep - and I did sleep well. They had a pianist one night which I enjoyed... more
