Great hotel and easy to find. Good location if you want to be in the Buda part of town. However, there didn't seem to be any easy access to public transit if you want to go to Pest. more

We found the hotel by accident, planning to stay in Pest but forced by traffic back across the river to Buda. It was a find. Secure gated onsite parking for about 10 euro extra. Room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, and roomy. Bathroom was very roomy and clean. Our room was at the back, away from the street, so quiet... more

Attended a conference in Budapest and chose this hotel after trawling on the net. Very convenient location as it was within walking distance to the Congress Hotel, but at a third of the price! Only found out how brilliant the location was as it was near Gellert Hill, and within 10 minutes walk to the Buda Hill. Access to public... more

Have now stayed at the Gold Buda 3 times (twice for Grand Prix weekends and the latest for fun) and cannot fault the hotel or the service we have received. The rooms have always been exceptionally clean and tidy and while basic, for the amount of time you'll likely be spending in them they are well equipped. As with other... more

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my mother, and we enjoyed the stay immensely. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (I can not emphasize this enough), and the hotel was clean and quiet. Though not centrally located, the public transport was regular and easy to use, and there were some important sights within easy walking distance.... more

Our welcome could not have been better with Petra (the receptionist) offering us any help we needed during our stay - she was very knowledgeable and could not have done more for us. Although the hotel is on a main road the vehicle noise wasn't too bad given that we were out of the hotel for most of the day... more

My daughter and I spent three days at the Gold Hotel Buda and found the hotel and our room to be very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfying. We especially appreciated the FREE wireless internet. However,it was the front desk staff who made the hotel stay special as they were so professional, friendly and helpful with maps, guidance,storing... more

We stayed for three days at the Gold Buda hotel 9th to 11th February inclusive. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff cannot do enough for you. Although it is about a mile out of the centre, there is a very regular bus service into town (nos 8 and 112) and we never had to wait more than a... more

Spent five days at the Gold Hotel in Buda, in a 3-person room at the top of the hotel, B&B. Friendly staff ensured a very relaxing time, and reception staff offered much advice. Room and rest of hotel were clean. The hotel is in a perfect position, being ten minutes' walk from the lift that will take you to Varhegy... more

We spent five nights in this hotel, which is on the Buda side of the city. This means that it is a bit far away from the centre, the shops, etc. However, it is on the main road with excellent transportation connection. It is very close to Rudas Baths (which is very convenient). The receptionists were all very helpful, their... more
