The hotel is what you would expect from a good Mercure, great basic accomodation. The location at one corner of the jewish quarter caused us not to use the restaurant, simply because there are many good places to go and eat within the city. The subway/bus/tram is just around the corner from the hotel, so you can get anywhere in... More

My wife and I have stayed in Mercure Budapest Metropol during December 2014. Room was tidy and clean and the room was located at the courtyard which made it meant that you could not hear any traffic from Rakotszi utca which was excellent. Breakfast was standard. The hotel was located two metro stations from the center of Pest so that... More

The hotel is within walking distance to the city center, but I have to admit, it is rather a long walk. The staff is excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. Good breakfast. It is in need of some cosmetic renovation, but clean and comfortable. Metro station is right next to the entrance.

This hotel is 2 subway stops to city central which is very convenient. IThe hotel is very run down and you can see that 20 years ago they tried to modernize this old communist hotel. The room and bathroom is very small. Our walls were taller than the width of the floor in the room. The room fit 2 single... More

This hotel price was cheap and included a breakfast. Of course the hotel is a little bit worn out, but for this price I didn't mind. I got average breakfast buffet (actually good in Eastern Europe), shower with warm water and good pressure, location next to metro and close to bars. This hotel may not be a four star -hotel... Stayed here for 2 nights in Nov 2014 on a Gate 1 excursion. The room is tight, the bed had a thin mattress but we slept well. The carpeting was worn and kind of disgusting. Thin towels in the bathroom but the tub looked fairly new and the shower was hot and water was plentiful. The breakfast buffet included scrambled... More
