Stayed here in July when attending the formula 1 grand prix. Really good location to explore the city, handily placed near to metro routes and plenty of good bars and places to eat within walking distance. It's really quite a nice building too from an architectural point of view, but then a lot of Budapest is. Nice friendly, helpful staff.... More

I visited this hotel on 2014 about 10 times, last one was in this January 2015. Hotel hold the same service level and I am there VIP guest. So I prefere the stay at this hotel. Hotel offering very good services with comparable price. I prefere executive huge room or apartmant with balcony.

I liked the location of the hotel (just a corner block away from famous New York Cafe and just one metro station away from famous Hotel Astoria) but our room and bed were small...it was clean yes but it was nothing special for the price we paid. The receptionists were a bit stiff but OK helpful. There was no noise... More

A great hotel for exploring the beautiful sights of Budapest. Central, clean and cheap. The staff were helpful. The hotel is a bit dated however when in a city like Budapest you don't really spend a lot of time your room.

The hotel is situated near to the Keleti railway station on the Rakoczi Utca which is one of the main boulevards in Budapest. The rooms are spacious with a really nice view to the boulevard. If you are a smoker you can smoke into the room. To conclude, this hotel is a really nice place to stay in Budapest.

Breakfast small selection. Privilege Lounge - no watter no coffee. Staff was not there 22 hours. ( used dishes ) Raňajky malý výber. Privilege salónik - nebola tam voda ani káva. Nikto z personálu tam neprišiel 22 hodín upratať použitý riad.

The hotel is what you would expect from a good Mercure, great basic accomodation. The location at one corner of the jewish quarter caused us not to use the restaurant, simply because there are many good places to go and eat within the city. The subway/bus/tram is just around the corner from the hotel, so you can get anywhere in... More

My wife and I have stayed in Mercure Budapest Metropol during December 2014. Room was tidy and clean and the room was located at the courtyard which made it meant that you could not hear any traffic from Rakotszi utca which was excellent. Breakfast was standard. The hotel was located two metro stations from the center of Pest so that... More

The hotel is within walking distance to the city center, but I have to admit, it is rather a long walk. The staff is excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. Good breakfast. It is in need of some cosmetic renovation, but clean and comfortable. Metro station is right next to the entrance.
