Fantastic location - just outside train station and kind and friendly staff at the front desk, but apart from that rooms were old and stuffy with v bad air conditioning, no wifi and beds were not very comfortable, breakfast was not very pleasent with limited selection of stodgy pasteries and cereals - not even a toaster. However the location was... More

This hotel could not be better placed if you are using the Keleti Station and the metro is right outside. The street setting is unprepossessing but once through the street door the building is interesting, with the hotel at the top. General feel of the hotel is a little tired, it needs a makeover. Staff are correct but, in my... More

Pros: spacious rooms, good location Cons: AC in the rooms don't cool off. The first room we were given would just blow warms air, we requested to be moved and the guy at the front desk said we would have to wait until the next day for maintance to check it. We waited until the evening and luckily the new... More

Due to the fact that I was arriving by train to Budapest-Keleti station (don't get confused with the other big train station, Budapest-Nyugati), I decided to stay at this hotel because it's just in front of the station. The area around is neither nice nor ugly, it's just normal or, better said, convenient, given that there is the said train... More

Right across from subway station and a main train station. Breakfast just ok. Very helpful front desk people. Our room was on the top floor with windows, but the view was blocked by the building's facade.

The reception staff was very chilled and I got the impression that he wanted to get rid of you quickly. Maybe it was a cultural difference - which isn't bad, it's not your typical (European) customer service. The breakfast staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room and bathroom was spacious, clean and not too dated. The bed was very... More

This hotel is within easy walking distance to the more touristy parts of Budapest, or to the metro station if you prefer not to walk. The front desk staff was very helpful at all times with our questions and they stored our luggage after check out. We had booked a triple room for a family of three, but were upgraded... More

We stayed in a twin bedded room a couple of weeks ago. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower head did jolt up wards if a faster stream of water was required but I soon learnt how to control this and have noted that other guests found the same issue. The reception staff spoke good English. The breakfast was... More

Basic hotel but if you just need a base to sleep at night then it's ideal. We had 5 twin rooms and don't think any of shower heads were stable therefore you hand to hold it to shower. Power and temperature of water was above average. No problem with noise from guests and the rooms all face the court yard... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
