Spent a week here sightseeing. Very well-placed hotel on 5 floors beside Elizabeth Bridge, short walk from Metro line that connects with 200E bus from airport. The hotel needs some refreshing buth the double rooms are nice. If you can, avoid rooms directly on the bridge. Reception employees not smiling, not cooperative, not really willing to please you. Should you stay there, be prepared to do everything by yourself. Preferably pay in local money as their conversions into other moneys are very benefitting..... for them ! more

Really helpful to read other reviews and yes it was a central spot to stay and we did request a room which had a view of the Danube. Easy to find,using train and buses. On return just used metro and airport bus. Good to have a guide book on Budapest for info on main sights and buy 3 day ticket... more
