I went to Budapest for my birthday on 4/25/09 and took a chance by booking Starlight Suiten online. I was so happy and so impressed I can't express it enough. This was a fantastic newer hotel, right on the inner ring (a great location) Within walking distance to many of the tourist spots, the synagogue, the Danube, tons of cafes,... more

3 of us shared a room on a long weekend break to Budapest last year. Hotel staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean, large, had great amenities and perfect mid-range suites. Everything you wanted for a break. Facilities available if you wanted to s'tay-in' but that wasnt our agenda. Central for exploring, and walking distance to bars, clubs, restraunts and... more

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Literally slap bang in the centre of the city with the parliament building walkable in 10 minutes, St Stephen's in 5 and the Deak Ferenc Ter metro station (this is the only metro station in Budapest from which you can access all three metro lines). My girlfriend and I walked almost... more

Stayed here in early Jan 2009 in a twin room. The hotel is conveniently located close to the hub of the city's metro system (10 min walk) and only a couple of blocks from the river and chain bridge (5 min walk) and St Stephen's Basilica (5 mins). We walked practically everywhere, though there were a few times we chose... more

I found this hotel on Expedia with a free third night, making it very reasonably priced overall. Location was ideal, safe, classy area just behind the palatial Four Seasons. View from our room down the street to Roosevelt Ter. Close to the Hop on Hop off Bus stop and close to 24 hr mini market and a range of restaurants.... more

Hotel is a remnant of Communist era. I stayed in a suite for three days. Absolutely no decorations on walls and furniture was torn and tatered. Asked for an extra pillow and the response was that they were fully booked and an extra pillow may become available tomorrow.. No safe in the room and towels were not replaced until requested.... more

My Husband I went to Hungary as the second half of our honeymoon. (it was his first time in Europe, let alone in Hungary) The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once we got into our room we were pleasantly surprised! We got a great deal through Expedia when we booked a flight and hotel!! The hotel... more

Large suite and bathroom. Hotel built in modern "Communist" style in that it is very functional. Breakfast a bit of a joke in that "included" meant coffee, a bread roll and jam! Anything more was extra. Bed fairly comfortable but pillow was dreadful. Extra pillows were not available - one per bed!! Spoylessly clean. Recommended but like most things in... more
