We stayed here for 5 days recently and it is in a great location, about 24 euro in a taxi one way from airport, right beside Astoria train / bus stop. The rooms are not huge but are very clean and nice, the breakfast is very good and this was a great base to start our trip from. The hotel... More

Have today arrived home after spending 4 days at this fab. hotel. Not only is the location first class but so is the staff. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. LASZLO VARJU, one of the employees at the Reception desk. This young man went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and nothing was... More

This Hotel is at a very good location. Hardly 4-5 min walk from Astoria Metro and bus stop. Since it away from the Danube, the prices are reasonable and would suit budget travelers who book in advance. The staff at the reception speak English, so we could ask them for all directions and any kind of help. There is also a... More

Upon the moment we arrived at the hotel, reception were extremely accommodating to our every need; from storing our luggage to suggesting places that we should visit. Especially our friend, Laszlo. We were provided with a map which was very useful, as the hotel is five minutes from the centre of Budapest. Following a long day of exploring the city,... More

The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the Astoria metro station on the red line, and maybe 5 minutes away from Malvinas ter metro station on blue line. The hotel offers standards typical of the mercure chain - comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was simple and somewhat limited. For 3 mornings of my stay the offering was... More

I chose this hotel as it was on the cheap side so I was not expecting nothing. The first impression was not so good: the room was not impressive, on the first floor just in front of a road but then I appreciated t he location and, although the staff was not exactly friendly they were helpful and able to... The rooms are fine, and apparently of the latest Italian design. There is little else to say about them. The wifi was bad (shock, shock, for an Accor hotel) but I happened to complain about it when someone I imagine was owner was nearby and he explained that they were going to complain themselves about the wifi company and things... Budapest is a big city, but one can almost visit it walking. The hotel Mercure Budapest Museum is situated in a quite site although near to one of the main street. Remembered me to the "Gran Vía" of Madrid. Anyway, no sounds, no noise, not away from the old town. Franz

The Mercure Budapest is punctuated by its overtly helpful and friendly staff. From restaurant recommendations, travel arrangements and city orientation the staff with ensure you have a happy stay in Budapest. The rooms are a little old in decor and appliances but nevertheless clean and spacious, with strong WiFi connection. The hotel is also equipped with gym, spa and massage... More

OK, the hotel is reasonably priced, OK, the breakfast buffet is better than nothing, OK, all infrastructure elements work. And sure, the hotel is situated just perfectly, in the centre of the City. But that is it, no more. So you get what you pay for, nothing to complain, but also nothing to give the place a gold medal for,... More
