After nearly 2 weeks travelling in Asia my last stop was Budapest for two nights. The Novotel congress situated a few Kms away from the centre of town. The room was Ok although possibly the smallest bathroom i have ever experienced. Expensive Food (but quality was OK), Bar (very expensive for Budapest) and Internet. Unfriendly staff at reception. The Hotel... more

I would never believe that a 4 star hotel would look anything like the Congress Hotel in Budapest...The room (110) was not well cleaned and typical services where nowhere to be found. On our first day of our stay we discovered that a pair of expensive shoes where missing...we contacted the front desk with no serious respond. They told us they... more

I've stayed here for 2 nights during a conference. The hotel looks ugly from the outside, but interiors are designed according to the latest Novotel standards, so modern and lively. This is a good hotel for a congress; the main conference room is very large and modern and could probably serve as a theatre too. The hotel itself is ok,... more

Having stayed in Novotels before we hoped for a similar experience. Oh boy what a let down. the most unfriendly staff ever. We booked an Executive Room because our daughter was with us and the extra bed could not be accommodated in a standard room, When we arrived the 2nd bed was not dressed and we had to return to... more

I stayed in this nice hotel for 3 nights. It was a business trip, we were working just outside Budapest but needed a good place to stay. The hotel has nice rooms, mostly non-smoking (only 1 floor has smoking rooms). The restaurant in the hotel was simple but good with some international dishes. Service was ok but not very friendly.... more

This hotel is on the Buda side of the city. Getting to the city center is easy, though (10 minute taxi ride). As a hotel designed for conventionis I found that it falls a little short of "good". I would rate it "ok" overall. 1. Breakfast good 2. Rooms: comfortable, although bathroom tiny (and the towels too!) 3. decor inside... more

Fairly non-descript place, room was fine. Lots of large and somewhat rowdy groups spoiled the atmosphere in the public areas. Location fairly out of the way - luckily there is a large shopping centre and multi-cinema complex almost next door, anything else is a taxi ride away. more

Stayed here for four nights in April wile lecturing at a conference. Try as I might I cannot think of much unique to say about this very bland business four star hotel. Photocopy any central European "business area" hotel and write your own review. Foyer & facilities fine, but bland. Staff reasonably helpful. Pool and gym a nice touch, but... more

I travelled solo to Budapest for the first time and had no idea of the location of the hotel. Some internet sites mentioned it was 100m to main shopping street on Pest side....this is wrong. It is probably 100m to the nearest bus station!! Catch the number 8 bus straight into city centre (Pest side) only about 5-10min ride. I... more

Situated near to the entrance road from Austria (M1), comfortable rooms, company rate possible, breakfast buffet okay. Fitness room, swimmimg pool, sauna, turkish bath - my favourite extras... Next to a shopping center, guarded parking place. more
