Truly the most superb overall hotel experience ever! The model for what a luxury hotel should be! The hotel itself is magnificent and the service perfection. The room was beautiful, the restaurant wonderful and the staff, quite simply, the best I've ever encountered. Worth every penny! The Gresham Palace is the ONLY place to stay in Budapest!

The Four Seasons Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel is directly across from the beautiful Chain Bridge on the e Danube River on the Pest sides of the city. The bell staff is great, one bellman knew my name from my luggage and called me by name for my stay. I was so impressed. The... More

This is undeniably the best hotel in Europe. I stay there quite often on business and I really feel like home. The rooms, the service, the restaurant, the spa, the facilities are just excellent. The location is perfect with stunning views over the Danube river and the castle. Staff is just amazing and would realy go above and beyond to... More

This must be one oif the best if not THE best hotel in Budapest. for sure it's not cheap but all in all I felt it was really good value for money. The staff really were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT and deserve the credit for making our stay at The Gresham Palace truly memorable.

I've stayed at Four Seasons Gresham Palace twice now. I would, however, like to base this review on my first visit in November, 2014. The first thing that will strike you about Gresham Palace is how grand it is. I was lucky to have stayed here around Christmas, when the entire building is adorned with brilliant lights and there is... More

The Four Seasons Gresham Palace, Budapest, far exceeded our expectations in every way possible! The entire staff, from reception to restaurants, were extremely knowledgeable and courteous, the food and wine lists exceptional, and the hotel's location right on the Danube River is perfect. We splurged and reserved a River, Chain Bridge, Buda Castle view, and were not disappointed! If you... More

Perfect location and full of happy staffs around , this was the best hotel ever in europe. Have been staying 4 days and spend our evenings overlooking the danube. Classic decors and a grand bed. What else is needed for a retreat at 40's ?

An amazing afternoon spent relaxed in the lobby with afternoon tea. My boyfriend is raving about the iced coffee he got but the tea was also amazing! The food itself was also tasty and very filling! The homemade jam and marmalade brilliant! Having a live pianist in the background made it extra relaxing and the ambiance was perfect!

This is a WOW hotel. It is beautiful, perfect location, great staff, good food. If you can stay here do. The location is amazing, at one end of the Chain bridge. You can see the hotel from lots of places. A short walk to many of the key sights in Budapest. Although an old building the rooms are modern and... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
